Mariam is thrilled to have Asila back. The Khedive thinks about starting a pioneer magazine in Egypt. Al-Khazindar finds himself in trouble after he beats some foreigners who assaulted an Egyptian doctor. Ashraqat recovers from her accident.
Abdu Al-Hamuli makes up his mind about marrying Almaz. Ismail Al-Muffatish decides to relieve Sherif Al-Kashef of his post. On Ismail Al-Muffatish's recommendation, the Khedive asks to meet Ahmed Al-Khazindar to offer him a job at the royal palace.
The Valide Pasha announces her return to Egypt. Al-Khazindar consults Rifa'a Al-Tahtawi about the Khedive's appointment. A year after her accident, Abdu Al-Hamuli finally meets Ashraqat.
Despite her vehement refusal, Sherif Al-Kashef persists in trying to marry Almaz. To deal with the Valide Pasha's impending arrival, the Khedive gets Princess Fatma to receive her in his stead. Ahmed Al-Khazindar is assigned a mission in Port Said.
Sherif proposes to Almaz but she renews her refusal and informs him of her engagement to Abdu. When Sherif is formally dismissed from his post, he tries to kill himself, but Al-Khazindar saves him.
Ismail Al-Muffatish finally manages to see Ashraqat. Abdu Al-Hamuli is caught between his feelings for Ashraqat and Almaz. Ashraqat asks Hamza to bring Hafsa to visit her after their marriage.
Al-Khazindar opens an investigation into the happenings at the Suez Canal. When Ashraqat gets kidnapped, she is shocked to discover that the Khedive is the one who has her kidnapped so that they could resolve things. Salama speaks to Al-Khadindar about the land that was taken from Al-Halawany family.
Asila asks Mariam to move with them to Cairo. Ismail Al-Muffatish proposes to Ashraqat. The family of Al-Halawany decides to have Hamza and Hafsa wed in Cairo, as well as Almaz and Abdu. Al-Khazindar orders the arrest of Sherif Al-Kashef.
Sherif Al-Kashef decides to separate from his wife Widad. Ahmed Al-Khazindar catches feelings for Gharam Khatoun, who tries to win the Khedive to her side. Al-Khadindar informs the Khedive about the theft of the money that was supposed to pay for the lands of the Suez Canal.
Ashraqat decides to sell all her properties and leave Egypt. Rabei' tries to help Sherif Al-Kashef out of his bind. Ali Pasha Mubarak is assigned to evaluate the price of the lands of the Suez Canal.
Abdu Al-Hamuli confesses his love for Ashraqat. Al-Khazindar informs Salama that Rifa'a Al-Tahtawi is going to publish a magazine, and asks Salama to become one of its editors. Ismail Al-Muffatish informs Al-Khazindar that Princess Fatma likes him.
Sherif Al-Kashef is released from prison. Ashraqat decides to throw a party after a long absence. Gharam Khatoun thinks about poisoning the Khedive. Salama meets up with Rifa'a Al-Tahtawi.
Ismail Al-Muffatish works to wed Abdu to Almaz to get the former away from Ashraqat. Al-Khazindar meets Mahmoud Sami El-Baroudi for the first time. The responsibility of the railroads is taken from Ali Pasha Mubarak.
Ramz Khatoun visits her ex-husband, Al-Khazindar, who is surprised by the visit. As Abdu Al-Hamuli sings a song for Ashraqat in front of her palace, she has her servants kick him out.
