When Awatef dies, her daughter Ghalia is left in a bind with the possibility of losing her apartment. She decides to take over her mother's old job as a prison guard to keep her apartment. Saber asks her for the money she got after her mother's death so that he could buy a microbus.

As Ghalia starts her new job, Ehsan sticks by her side to teach her the ropes. Ghalia meets Saber who asks her again for the money. He gets angry when she tries to put it off until she ends her probation period.

Ghalia and Ehsan visit Aziza to thank her for helping them. Aziza's husband is a major cannabis dealer. Dalal starts her night job at a nightclub with her cousins.

When Ghalia's probation period ends, Saber demands the money which she gives him. As their wedding day approaches, Saber asks Ghalia to postpone their wedding. He deceives Ghalia and marries the microbus merchant's daughter.

Ghalia breaks down after Saber's marriage. Soheir tries to convince her cousin Dalal to do more than just drink with the customers, but Dalal refuses. Hayat struggles with some psychological issues.

Ghalia gets furious when Nawara starts working for Rady. Karam and Dalal's relationship evolves. Aziza convinces her husband to become a heroin-dealer since it's more profitable.

Aziza is charged with heroin possession. Karam proposes to Dalal and asks her to quit her night job. When she tells her aunt about Karam's proposal, she tells her to continue with her job to earn more money. Karam sees Dalal at a nightclub and leaves her.

When Mona dies, Rady kicks Saber out of the apartment and takes his son to raise him. Saber proposes to Ghalia who agrees. Dalal reconciles with Karam after she publicly announces that she won't be working at the cabarets anymore.

Ghalia is pregnant. Dalal gets engaged to Karam. The fearful Hayat decides not to send her children to school anymore. Soheir convinces Dalal to attend Hamdy's birthday party. Members of the vice squad crash the party and arrest everyone except Hamdy and Dalal's aunt's husband.

When Dalal's mother disowns her and Karam divorces her, Dalal tries to commit suicide. Nawara asks Saber to take their relationship to the next step and marry her. Rady threatens to take the cars from Saber if he doesn't pay the late installments. Ghalia reluctantly gives Saber the money.

Saber spends a night in prison. When Ghalia learns that Saber is lying to her about where he spends the money, she quarrels with him in front of Rady. Saber accidentally kills Rady and flees.

As the police arrive to seize the murder weapon, they wrongfully accuse Ghalia of murder. Saber deliberately picks a fight so that he can use it as an alibi. The prosecutor holds Ghalila until the investigation is complete.

Saber returns home and feigns ignorance. Nawara tells him what she said to the cops so that he could tell them the same. Ghalia is imprisoned for 15 days pending investigation.

As Ghalia is sent to El-Qanater prison, she tries to shake off her shock and find a solution to her dilemma with the help of Aziza and Mohga. Zeinat tells Reda that she got her a job as a maid in Cairo but Reda fears that she will be beaten.

As Ghalia's delivery date approaches, Dalal continues to fight with her cousins. Aziza saves a fellow prisoner from being sexually assaulted. Ghalia gives birth to a boy that she names Saeid. Reda starts her new job with a pay cut as a penalty for being late.

The lawyer informs Ghalia that evidence is stacked against her. Ensaf and her daughters are about to be released but Dalal still has additional time to serve due to her suicide attempt. Hayat's compulsive fear of the outside world leads her to poison her husband and children.

When Reda is accused of stealing a diamond ring, she is beaten to get her to confess until the ring is found. Reda asks Arafa to take her home but he takes her to Soraya. Ashgan is sentenced to death.

Hayat is transferred to Al-Qanater prison while awaiting trial. When Dalal is forced to return to her aunt's house after her mother and Karam reject her, she agrees to join in their prostitution ring. Reda grows close to her new employers. Ghalia is sentenced to 7 years in prison.

Ghalia is devastated over her sentence. Essam gets Dalal wealthy clients. When Dalila's friends make fun of Reda's accent, Dalila's brother consoles Reda. Zeinat needs surgery to remove her kidney stones.

Saeid is two which is the age he gets transferred to a child-caring facility. Reda takes every chance she gets to see Magdy who proposes to her. Dalal plans for the future. Zeinat has her surgery with the aid of a charity.

Ghalia is moved out of the maternity ward. Hayat starts talking and asks for a death sentence. Dalal decides to buy Hamdy's clothes factory and her own apartment. Dalila gets furious when Reda takes her clothes without telling her.

Ghalia asks after her son who is sick. Dalal's project is met with success, but she keeps to her old job as well until she is arrested and sent back to prison. As Zeinat is transferred to the prison, Ayman tells Ghalia that Saeid has died.

As Zeinat grows ill, the prison doctor tells her that her surgeon stole her kidney. Dalila starts to feel jealous when her friends start to like Reda. Ghalia threatens Ehsan with a sharp object to get her to inform her of Saber and Nawara's location.

Ehsan refuses to have Ghalia punished for threatening her. Dalila gives Reda a phone to talk to Magdy whenever she wants. Dalal humiliates Karam when she runs into him at a hotel. Ghalia finishes her disciplinary sentence in solitary confinement and returns to her ward.

Ghalia tries to reach Khaled after he testifies against her. Aziza vows revenge when she learns that her husband has married Hanady. Reda's father refuses to allow her to marry Magdy. Dalila gets engaged.

Aziza plots to have Hanady imprisoned and causes her permanent disability. When Dalila mistreats Reda, Reda exact revenge by setting Dalila on fire.

Reda is arrested. Dalal's siblings refuse to allow her to come home due to her rotten reputation. When Zeinat is released, she decides to return to prison because she can't afford her dialysis sessions.

As Zeinat's health deteriorates, Ashgan and Reda are moved to the death row ward as they await execution. Hagag divorces Hanady on Aziza's orders.

Aziza is released. Zeinat dies. Reda is executed.

As Ghalia gets released, she decides to search for Saber. Dalal manages to find him and Ghalia executes him and Nawara.
