With Sahar killed in mysterious circumstances, the police find a paper next to her with Jaber's name on it. Nadia admits that it’s Ragab Faroun, whom businessman Abdel Salam resorts to after his son was kidnapped by unknown persons. Faroun is later arrested on charges of killing Sahar.
Charges are brought against Faroun for possessing weapons, so he tries to prove that some of these weapons belong to others. Abu Labib goes to Shalabi Musa to have Ibrahim, Faroun's nephew, and the kidnapped child released. As Musa grants his request, Ibrahim vows revenge on him and his men.
Ibrahim does what Faroun asked of him and manages to break up the workers’ sit-in in front of the factory and settle the quarrels between them. While in prison, Faroun eats a poisoned meal sent by a man called El Barghouti, and is taken to the hospital.
After surviving the murder attempt, Faroun receives treatment in the hospital, where he recalls his childhood, the poverty in which he lived and how he was determined to climb to the top at any cost, and recalls his life with his sister and her son, Ibrahim.
While being chased by some people who want to kidnap her, Sahar rushes to the train station and manages to get on a train and escape from them. Faroun gets to know her on the train, and insists on taking her to her friend's house for fear that these people may come after her again.
Lt. Col. Ezzat heads to the office of Ashraf, the security company owner, to gather information about Sahar's murder. An attempt on Ibrahim’s life takes place at the instigation of Aida and he gets shot. As Faroun receives treatment in the same hospital where Ibrahim is, Lt. Col. Magdy goes to interrogate him.
Ragab extends a truce with Shalabi till the goods arrive from Greece. He recalls his old relationship with El Balouti when he saved him from a major smuggling operation, but he suspects that he’s the instigator of his murder. He also recalls Sahar's stipulation that he smuggle the goods for her to marry him.
As El Balouti discovers that Faroun had a hand in his son's disappearance, he tries to kill him, but Lt. Col. Magdy stops him, much to the surprise of Faroun, who tries, with Ibrahim, to find the person who attempted to kill him in prison.
Aida decides to get rid of Sahar and fire her from work after she’s been exposed and has failed to carry out the drug smuggling operation, which Faroun was supervising, so Sahar is forced to work with her friend, Maggie, who offered her to a job as a hostess at some night parties.
With El Balouti killed, Aida tells Faroun that she suspects her husband, Sidqi, of killing him. Faroun recalls how he met Abu Labib, who freed him from Shalabi’s clutches, after Faroun tried to confront him and avenge his father, in exchange for bringing an arms shipment into the country.
Maggie tells Ragab to look into his past and identify his enemies and his friends; while in a flashback, Sahar meets businessman Fouad Madbouly, whom she got to know while working with Maggie as a hostess.
Faroun suspects Aida, Sidqi's wife, and asks Ibrahim to monitor her and gather all the information about her movements. Faroun recalls how he came to have great authority over the port, after standing up to El Balouti and forcing all his men to work under his command.
As Ahmed accuses his uncle, Faroun, of causing the Battle of the Camel, along with his fellow businessmen who announced they were against the 25 January Revolution, Faroun rebukes him, and tries to convince him that he had no hand in that incident.
Faroun asks Ibrahim to watch Aida, but he prefers to stay focused on his task. Faroun recalls his days with Sahar, who refused to marry him, stressing that he’s no more than a friend, while trying to woo Fouad Madbouly in the hope of marrying him.
As Sidqi loses all his money in a deal and tries to commit suicide, his wife, Aida, turns to Faroun for help before he gets arrested. Faroun requires that they sign a promissory note and give up one of his companies to him, forcing Sidqi and Aida to agree to his terms.
After Fouad proposes to Sahar, Maggie tries to tarnish her image in front of Fouad, who gets upset and expels her. She quarrels with Sahar after discovering her relationship with Madbouly, whose wife finds out about their marriage, so he tells her that he had to marry another to have kids.
Karima warns Sahar of her relationship with Fouad, while Fayek threatens her with their customary marriage contract, asking her to mediate for him with Fouad, so she turns to Faroun, who claims that he killed Sahar. Ibrahim works with his uncle, Ragab. Abu Emaira gets Reem a job with Faroun.
The Pasha asks Faroun to take revenge on the journalist Samir, because he has become a source of danger for them, telling him to use Maggie to trap him. At the party, Ibrahim tries to woo Sahar, after Ragab introduced them, while Aida is upset by her presence at the party.
Faroun succeeds in implicating Samir in Adam's case, and he is arrested with a girl in a compromising situation, so Samir decides to take revenge on him. Sahar is attacked by a woman, whom Karima has agreed with. As Sahar turns to Faroun to save her, he asks Ibrahim to do so.
Shalabi threatens to kill Fayek and his wife if he doesn’t give him information about Faroun. He asks him for some confidential papers and Fayek agrees. As Faroun discovers that Sidqi is behind this, and that he was the instigator of his murder attempt in prison, he quarrels with him.
Aida asks Sidqi to hide the goods so they wouldn’t get exposed. Sidqi tries to persuade Ragab to stay away from them in exchange for a sum, but he refuses. Ibrahim is surprised by the disappearance of his uncle, Ragab. Sahar opens a gym, while she’s troubled by not having children.
Aida succeeds in setting up an ambush for Faroun with the help of his cousin, but he manages to pull through and discovers who tried to kill him in prison. Shalabi Musa and his associates regain control over the port, but Faroun vows revenge.
Sahar asks Faroun to kill Karima to be rid of her threats, but he refuses, so she turns to Ibrahim and promises not to tell Faroun. He helps her to put a lethal drug for Karima, whose maid’s has a crisis of conscience and she decides to tell Fouad after she agreed with Sahar to do so.
Ibrahim helps Sahar bury her ex-husband and asks her to marry him, while she urges him not to inform Faroun, who decides to avenge his associates. Sidqi asks Aida to return Reem to her job, and she reluctantly agrees.
Magdy goes to Safwat's office and tries to find out about the tape that disappeared from his office, while Faroun goes to the city of Mansoura to gather some men to help him, and agrees to stop the work at the port until Aida and Sidqi are disposed of. Sahar complains to Maggie about Ibrahim.
Faroun’s culpability in the Battle of the Camel is revealed. Aida and Sidqi are upset about the workers' strike. She asks that the papers be disposed of and agrees to help Sirag get rid of Ragab in return for him staying away from them. Ashraf agrees with Samir to expose Faroun, whom everyone turns against.
Ibrahim is upset by Faroun's decision to end his business and by his concern to help Fayek and his wife; Faroun discovers his relationship with Sahar. Reem threatens to kill Ashraf if he harms Magdy. Safwat decides to kill Faroun's nephew upon learning that he’ll publish incriminating data.
Shalabi agrees to grant Faroun a safe way out with his family in return for leaving everything to him. As Ahmed, Faroun's nephew, gets injured in the protests, Faroun and Ibrahim decide to avenge him. Aida discovers Sidqi's return to his addiction and threatens to leave him.
Sahar refuses to collect information about Safwat for Ashraf, who blackmails her. Faroun quarrels with Ibrahim over Sahar, whom Faroun asks to leave Egypt and end her businesses, but she refuses. Magdy asks Faroun for the tape so that he can get him out of prison and the death sentence.
Ibrahim kills Sahar in retaliation for her relationship with Safwat Dahshan in front of her friend Maggie who steals her money. Sidqi tries to kill Faroun, but he kills his wife, Aida, by mistake, so Faroun orders him to kill himself with the same gun he killed her with. The end remains open.
