As Malak celebrates her graduation from medical school, she goes with her brother Magdy to ask for Samah's hand, and her father agrees; Malak gives up her share in the family store to Magdy.

Malak tries to keep Raouf away from addiction and bad friends. When Mohjah advises Shabana against her son's marriage to Samah, Malak intervenes to fix the matter. Ali shocks Malak by his desire to travel to work abroad.

As Magdy steals Mohjah and Malak's gold, Rushdie attacks him and steals the gold and causes him to be hospitalized. Kamal tries to get close to Malak. As Mukhtar kidnaps Magdy after stealing the drugs, he pressures Malak to deliver her brother to her in exchange for the stuff.

Magda promises Ali a job contract abroad in exchange for helping her to keep Malak away from Kamal. Mukhtar releases Magdy who celebrates his wedding with Samah. Kamel threatens Magda to stay away from Malak.

After her marriage to Magdy, Samah moves in with Mohjah and Malak, and arguments arise between them. When Kamel asks Malak to marry him, she refuses. Mukhtar frames Malak in a drug trafficking case.

Mohjah asks Suleiman to hire a lawyer to get Malak out of the drug case. As Samih succeeds in proving the innocence of Malak, the prosecution releases her and detains Mukhtar and Magdy. Ali agrees to marry Magda.

Nader and Yara return to Egypt to see their dying father, Aziz, on his deathbed. Kamel renews his request to marry Malak, but she declines. Ali seizes Kamel's pharmacy.

Malak rejects Magda's offer to work in the pharmacy under Ali's management. Magdy and Samah plot to get Malak and Mohjah out of the house. Aziz's condition deteriorates.

Suleiman nominates Malak to take over the medical care for Aziz in the palace. The police detain Magdy after Malak informs them of his assault on his mother, Mohjah. Malak stipulates that Samih must take over Magdy's case to accept working in the palace.

As Malak takes over her work in the palace to look after Aziz, his condition improves at the hands of Malak. Hisham agrees to let Mohjah stay with Malak in the palace. Samih fails to acquit Magdy.

Nader tries to get close to Malak. Malak tells Shahira that most of her health problems are due to psychological reasons. Ali leaves his work at the pharmacy.

As Ali tells Malak of his desire to propose to her, she agrees. When Hisham threatens to fire Malak, Aziz objects. As Hisham accuses Malak of giving Shahira narcotics, Nader tells him that he is the one who's giving them to her.

Nader tells Malak of his suspicion that Samih is giving narcotics to Shahira. Mohjah suspects that there's a relationship between Nader and Malak. Samah begins to seize control of the house in the absence of Malak and Mohjah.

As Sameh advises Hisham to marry Shahira, Ali asks Malak to decide if she will marry him after she ignores him. Noha tells Nader that she saw Malak with Ali. Shahira asks Hisham for a divorce.

As Nader decides to set up a large company, Hisham objects, fearing that there won't be enough money to pay off the debts that Aziz has sunk him in. Magdy is released from prison. Yara falls for Ali.

Samah questions Malak’s morals during Magdy’s imprisonment. Nader decides to appoint Ali to work with Malak. Ali asks for Malak's hand from Mohjah.

Nader confesses his love for Malak. Magdy breaks into the palace in an attempt to verify Samah's lies about Malak and her relationship with Nader. Samih persuades Malak to stay at her job.

Malak confesses to Suleiman and Mohjah about Nader's love for her. Hisham tries to get close to Malak. As Ali gives Malak the choice between her work in the palace or their marriage, she hangs on to her work.

Mohjah blames Malak for refusing to marry Ali who tries to get close to Yara. Nader threatens Hisham after discovering that the check is without balance. The vice police arrest Ali and Yara.

Yara threatens Nader to leave the palace if Ali is fired from his job. Nader tries to find out the relationship between Taher and Samih. Nader devises a plot with Malak by telling everyone that Aziz regained his ability to speak.

Nader and Malak resume their plan to expose Samih and Taher. As Mohjah informs Suleiman that Malak is Aziz's daughter, rumors spread in the palace that there is a relationship between Nader and Malak.

As Nader prevents Hisham from seeing his father, he agrees with the doctor to inform everyone that Aziz's condition is improving. As Aziz disappears from the palace, it's revealed that he was accompanied by Malak and Nader.

Nader and Malak bring Aziz back to the palace. Samih begins to suspect Nader and Malak's plan. Aziz's condition deteriorates. As Samih agrees with Ali to conspire against Malak, Ali accuses Malak of having a relationship with Hisham.

As Malak tells Shahira that there is no relationship between her and her husband, Hisham, she advises Malak to keep staying in the palace. Nader informs Malak of his desire to marry her. Mohjah blames Aziz for refusing to acknowledge his daughter.

Nader confesses to Hisham that he lied about Aziz's health improving. Mohjah confesses to Malak that she married Aziz and gave birth to her. As Nader goes to Taher in his house and finds him unconscious, the police arrest him on charges of attempted murder.

Aziz dies. In a flashback, as Magdy attacks Taher in an attempt to kill him, Taher accuses Nader during the investigation. Malak clashes with Samah because of her desire to return to the family home with Mohjah and leave the palace.

As Nader is released from prison, he accuses Samih of colluding with Taher against him. Mohjah tells Malak that Magdy is not her brother. Nader returns to the palace.

As Malak asks Ali to stay away from Yara, she tells him that she is her sister. Hisham asks for Malak's hand from Mohjah, and she refuses. Nader tells Hisham that Malak is his wife to keep him away from her.

When Malak informs Mohjah of her previous marriage to Nader, she collapses and is taken to the hospital. Malak asks Samih to acquit Ali in his case. Samih opens Aziz's will, which includes writing all his possessions to Mohjah.

Samih proposes to Suleiman to facilitate proving Aziz's paternity of Malak in exchange for her marriage to him. Malak continues to conceal the truth about her lineage from Nader and that they are siblings.

Nader is suspicious of Malak's desire to return to Ali and her betrayal of him because of her evasion of him. Samih gives money to Suleiman in exchange for delaying his announcement of Malak's lineage to Aziz. Rizk finds Suleiman dead in his room.

As the police find a bag full of money in the house of Mohjah and Malak, they arrest them. In a flashback, before Suleiman dies, he gives Mohjah the money bag in an attempt to persuade her to accept the money in exchange for not claiming their right in the inheritance.

In a flashback, Suleiman refuses the money from Samih. Samih stipulates that Malak should divorce Nader and marry him to help her in the case of Suleiman's murder; Malak is released pending trial.

Nader threatens Samih to keep him away from Malak. Hisham searches for Yara after her disappearance. Ali asks Yara to marry him. Nader refuses to divorce Malak.

Samih hides Hisham after an edict is issued to arrest him because of his debts to the banks. Malak tells Samih that she got divorced from Nader. Ali falls in love with a hotel guest named Rima.

As Malak admits to Magdy that Nader is her brother, he enters into shock. Malak tries to persuade Magdy not to divorce Samah, so he agrees. Hisham asks Nader to help him with his debts.

Hisham confronts Nader about the truth about Malak and that she is their sister. As Nader blames Malak for not telling him the truth, she returns to the palace.

Hisham returns to Shahira. Mohjah accuses Rima of causing Aziz to deny the lineage of his daughter Malak. Ali discovers that Rima is Yara's mother. Rima tells everyone that Nader is Samih's son and that his marriage to Malak is valid.
