After the murder of her mistress, Shajarat al-Durr’s slave girl flees to Baghdad to open a bar. She presents a play in which she commemorates Shajarat al-Durr, and plays her in the play. The Abbasid Caliph al-Musta'sim and his minister come in disguise, and the Caliph finds himself condemned in this show, because he issued the fatwa prohibiting the ruling of Shajarat al-Durr.
