The people of Umm al-Nar village wait for a gas tanker for three days. Tawfiq tells them that Al Mukhtar has taken the gas tanker away from him, so they stage a sit-in under Al Mukhtar's house. Hassan asks Al Mukhtar to solve the villagers' problem.

Fouad, Ragab, and Salim quarrel over who will speak on behalf of the villagers. Al Mukhtar gives a moving speech and holds a party to distract the villagers from the gas problem. Fouad leaves the party because of the bad talk about his mother, Salwa.

Salwa asks Dhari to leave the house when her son Fouad arrives. Hoda throws out her husband, Tawfiq, for giving Salwa the gas cylinder. Tawfiq offers the people of Umm Al-Nar village food and accommodation in exchange for money, and Safwan offers them a lower price.

Al Mukhtar asks Khaled to monitor Umm Al-Nour's village, and Fadel and Al Mukhtar ask Dhari to hire a highwayman to steal the gas truck and hide it for two days, after which he will inform the people that Al Mukhtar has managed to arrange the gas and distribute it to them.

Fadel forces Tawfiq to sell coal to the villagers, and the gas truck driver seeks help from Al Mukhtar after being beaten. Al Mukhtar asks journalist Wassim to write about Al Mukhtar's response to the gas crisis.

Salim goes to Al Mukhtar's house and hears gunfire. He tells his wife, Rodina, that her brother, Al Mukhtar, has died. The lie of Al Mukhtar's death spreads throughout the Umm Al-Nar village. Fadel is shocked and asks Dhari to kill Salim before he can seize Al Mukhtar's seat.

Hawash decides to calm things down with Samira after the news of Al Mukhtar’s death spreads. Fadel is happy when he learns that Al Mukhtar is not dead. Al Mukhtar tells Fadel that he will take revenge on Salim, and Al Mukhtar prepares to go to the village wearing his medals.

The villagers are surprised by the arrival of Al Mukhtar while Salim is digging the grave, so they flee. Al Mukhtar throws Salim into the grave, but Hassan saves him and asks for his forgiveness.

Mahran, Al Mukhtar's son, wants to get married, and Rodina searches for a bride for him. Al Mukhtar asks Hassan to inform the people about Al Mukhtar's attempt to bury Salim, and Al Mukhtar asks Rodina to monitor Salim's movements.

Al Mukhtar is startled from his sleep when he sees a rooster in his room, and he thinks it is booby-trapped. Sultan tells Fadel that he has a shipment of spoiled chickens that he wants to distribute.

Al Mukhtar runs an X-ray on the rooster, and the doctor tells him that the rooster has cancer. Al Mukhtar gets angry and asks Hassan to leave the rooster alone in an attempt to find its owner.

Al Mukhtar complains to Hassan about Mahran pointing a gun at his father and threatening to commit suicide if he did not marry Salim’s daughter. Hanaa, Hoda’s maid, goes to Tawfiq’s shop and asks him to return home.

Al Mukhtar has a nightmare about bandits looting his house. Hassan wakes Al Mukhtar to the news of a sit-in by the residents of Umm Al-Nar village, and Al Mukhtar is surprised to find that his son Mahran is standing against him in the sit-in.

Al Mukhtar meets with the residents to learn their demands and asks them to choose someone to represent them. Ragab and Salim quarrel, and Hassan informs Al Mukhtar that eight people have died due to eating spoiled chicken.

Rodina tells Salim about Hoda's alliance with the village girls to expel Salwa. Salim warns Salwa of the plot against her. Fouad becomes jealous of his mother, Salwa, because of the men's love for her, and Al Mukhtar gives Samira a scarf because of her support for women.

Al Mukhtar becomes angry with Fadel for burning the village's trees without his knowledge, and tells him that a member of the leadership named Nidal will visit the village. Al Mukhtar requests that free gas trucks be brought to the village.

Al Mukhtar asks Salim to receive the visit, Safwan receives three married women in his home, and Tawfiq thinks about marrying Hanaa and living with his sister in Umm Al-Nour’s village.

The village women go to Al Mukhtar to solve their problem after they expelled their husbands because of their relationship with Salwa. Al Mukhtar asks Hassan to send Salwa with Salim and Ragab to receive a guest from the leadership, and a reception for Nidal begins.

Al Mukhtar is surprised to find that Nidal is a woman, and Nidal asks him to have Salwa sing at the party. Al Mukhtar tells Nidal of his intention to establish a tourist resort that includes theaters and entertainment centers to serve the village of Umm Al-Nar.

Samira demands women's rights in Umm Al-Nour's village, but quarrels begin between the men and women. Al Mukhtar receives a letter from Hamdoun and is angered when he finds it to be a love letter.

Tawfiq returns home to be close to Hanaa, whom he loves, and Al Mukhtar sends Salim, Fouad, and Salwa to Umm Al-Nour’s village on an official visit to convey love and remove discord.

The women throw stones at Salwa because of the men's love for her. Hawash, Samira, and Sultan go to receive the delegation. Salwa begins singing, and Samira leaves the house because of the men's love for Salwa.

Three women beat Salwa, but they made a mistake and beat Ragab. Fouad considers himself a sheikh and interferes in the affairs of the villagers. Al Mukhtar publishes a newspaper called (Umm Al-Nar News) and decides to appoint Wassim as its editor.

Wassim writes in the newspaper praising Al Mukhtar’s achievements, and Al Mukhtar convinces Fouad to give up his land to establish a charitable complex to eliminate corruption and violations.

Hassan distributes the newspaper to the houses and tells the people that the newspaper is the only source of information. Sultan holds a feast that brings together Hawash, Samira, Ragab, and Salwa. Maysaa adds a magic mixture to the food, and Salwa, Salim, and Ragab faint.

News of the deaths of Salwa, Salim, and Ragab arrives, and Rodina grieves over Salim's death. During the funeral procession, the three of them rise alive, and the people flee in fear of them.

Fadel and Hassan convince most of the villagers to sell the land to Al Mukhtar, and Salim is shocked when he learns that Fadel has taken the crops and cut down the trees, and Salim attacks Al Mukhtar.

Salwa complains to Dhari about Fouad burning her clothes and jewelry. Al Mukhtar takes advantage of Salim’s travel to sell the land, and Rodina gives Salim’s land papers to Al Mukhtar.

Sultan discovers his son Rabi's relationship with Hawash's daughter, Suad. Salwa leaves Umm Al-Nar village to work with Sultan in a restaurant project in Umm Al-Nour village, and Tawfiq refuses Mahran's request to marry Hanaa.

Salim runs away with Hanaa and marries her. Hassan flees from Al Mukhtar after the destruction of Umm Al-Nar’s village. Samira gets married, Suad marries Rabi', and reconciliation takes place between Hawash and Sultan.
