Napoleon issues a decision to prosecute Muhammad Koriem on charges of high treason, and Lucian decides to defend him in the trial. However, Koriem gets a death sentence. Mahmoud brings the ransom, but Dupuy executes Koriem's sentence.
Napoleon issues a decree dismissing Lucian from the French army after he defended Koriem, and Rustem Agha presents the secrets of the resistance to the leaders of the French army.
Napoleon tasks Dupuy to search for al-Quesni's daughter, and Fourier accuses Lucian that he is having an affair with his wife.
The resistance men disguised as French soldiers kill 16 soldiers and burn David's store, and the latter accuses Maarouf Nouf of plotting it.
The French officer Maramou is abducted and his freedom becomes in the hands of Menou, who orders the release of Maarouf Nouf in exchange for Maramou. It turns out that Rustem Agha is hiding Sabah, Sheikh al-Quesni's daughter, in his home.

With the deteriorating financial conditions of the French army in Egypt, Napoleon orders to collect taxes, money, and food from the Egyptians. Napoleon offers Murad the leadership of Qena in exchange for abandoning his leadership of the resistance.
Murad cedes his principles for money from the French, and Napoleon announces the establishment of the scientific complex on Egyptian grounds.
Fourier kills Fernando because of his jealousy for his wife. Hassan El Abbasi announces his approval of the marriage of Suleiman to Maryam and Khalil to Safiya. Napoleon vows to kill Khatun one day.
As Napoleon deploys his men to collect taxes from sellers in the markets and beat women, Radwan confronts them and escapes before getting caught. Al-Jazzar refuses to make a treaty with Napoleon.
As Napoleon raises taxes, Egyptians get angrier and more rebellious. Menou offers Ali a deal in exchange for putting down the rebellion, and Mahmoud in disguise attacks Menou's supplies of rice and steals it all.
Radwan sets out a plan to retaliate against Napoleon's campaign by destroying the gunpowder factory in Al Darrasa, and the operation is successfully completed. Laura confesses to Jackson that she helped Radwan and the rest in the operation.
Ahmad al-Jazzar Pasha arrests a French soldier who infiltrated Acre and decides to use him to bargain with Napoleon. As Zamzam reveals to Agha a poisoning attempt by the maid Mandora towards him, Sabah accuses Zamzam of attempting to poison Agha.
As Mahmoud reveals Ali's plot against him and sending men to beat him and destroy his shop, Sabah attacks Zamzam in an attempt to kill her and escape, but the guards succeed in saving her.
Kléber tries to find the fortune-teller who predicted his death, and Rustem Agha declares his desire to marry Sabah and refuses to listen to her refusal.
Zamzam discovers Rustem Agha's intentions to marry Sabah, who escapes from the palace. Radwan and his men arrive at Rustem Agha's palace to kill him however they fail to find him. Hassan dies during a guerrilla operation.
After being discharged from the army, Lucian works as a secretary in the scientific complex. Menou announces his entry to Islam as a maneuver to deceive the Egyptians and pretend to be close to them and chooses to name himself, Abdullah.
As Lieutenant Fourier escapes from the campaign's camp, the General sends his soldiers to pursue him. Fourier attacks Napoleon's palace, accusing him of having an affair with his wife, and the latter orders his men to put him in prison.
As Suleiman marries Maryam, Chauvier and Menou devise a plan to bring them closer to the Egyptians, by marrying Menou to one of the daughters of the reputable families in Cairo.
Garem discovers Menou's desire to marry one of his two daughters, so he marries them off before that happens. Muhammad al-Rashidi becomes in a difficult situation after Menou asks him to marry his daughter Zubaidah.
As Ali tries to convince Muhammad to marry Zubaidah to Menou in order to obtain a huge fortune, Khatun finds a lost and unconscious girl (Sabah).
As the Ottoman Sultan declares war on France, Napoleon issues an order to execute any Egyptian who promotes the Sultan's firman (decree). Napoleon arrests Sheikh al-Quesni and accuses him of plotting against the campaign. Kléber asks Napoleon to send him back to France and remove him as governor of Alexandria.
The Agha issues a decision for his guards to arrest Suleiman al-Halabi. After the release of al-Quesni, the first Cairo revolution starts in all the governorates, and its center is Al-Azhar Mosque. The French soldiers attack, and Radwan kills Dupuy.
Napoleon orders his men to kill al-Quesni, and he retracts the execution of Khatun after discovering that she has rescued many French soldiers in her house. Meanwhile, the Resistance prepares for a new uprising against the French campaign.
As Zubaidah agrees to marry Menou to save her father, Mahmoud tries to change her mind without success.
Menou marries Zubaidah, who confesses her love for Mahmoud. So he arrests him, tortures him in front of her, and throws him in prison for trial.
As Maryam gets sick and dies, Menou issues orders to execute Mahmoud in front of Zubaidah, but the people attack the French soldiers and free Mahmoud.
Garem asks Mahmoud to stay away from Zubaidah to protect her and himself. Sabah resorts to fleeing from Khatun's house, fearing that Agha's men will find her.
Swilam retaliates against David, who made him lose his sight and pokes his eyes out. Rustem Agha discovers Zamzam's betrayal and they stab each other and they both die.
As Sabah hides in Hassan El Abbasi's house, Jassem asks to marry her, but Suleiman refuses and he marries her instead.
Sabah is shocked when Radwan manages to know her place and discovers her marriage to Suleiman. Napoleon refuses to allow Kléber to return to France.
Maramou falls captive in Suleiman's hands, and the latter refuses to execute him and throws him in prison. Maramou succeeds in freeing himself, kills Hassan El Abbasi and Sabah, and flees.
The bubonic plague spreads in Egypt, infecting many soldiers of Napoleon's army, and the French army attacks al-Jazzar's army, leading to Caffarelli suffering severe injury and death.
Lucian asks Jackson to marry his daughter Laura, who refuses and confesses her love for Mahmoud to her father. As Mahmoud discovers the matter and decides to marry her, Zubaidah discovers that she is pregnant from Menou.
The resistance men gather to discuss revolting for the second time against Napoleon's army and its campaign on Egypt. Mahmoud sneaks into his family's house in disguise to bid farewell to his mother on her deathbed.
As Kléber's power increases in Cairo, he remembers the prophecy of the fortune-teller who predicted his rise and eventually his murder, so he orders his guards to search for her. Kléber takes responsibility as commander-in-chief after Napoleon returns to France.
Suleiman al-Halabi returns after participating in battles against the French and announces the martyrdom of his comrade Radwan. Laura is shocked when she discovers that Zubaidah is still in love with Mahmoud.
The Second Cairo Revolution ignites as the French campaign reaches a critical state with its negotiations with the Ottoman side. As Kléber asks for the help of Murad, who suggests setting Cairo entirely on fire.
Kléber refuses to listen to advice to try to please the Egyptians and quell the revolution, imposing heavy fines on Cairo and he makes them hand over all their weapons. As Sheikh Sadat is detained, Khatun gathers a hundred thousand francs to free him.
The fortune-teller returns to tell Kléber about his fate so he kills her. Kléber's men arrest all the figures of Al-Azhar and their allies and Laura is killed during Jackson's arrest. Suleiman al-Halabi infiltrates Kléber's palace in the form of a beggar and kills him, so he gets arrested and executed.
