The Khedive discovers the betrayal of one of his wives with one of his guards, as well as the maid's attempt to escape from the palace, but her beauty makes the Khedive decides that she becomes one of his wives. The Khedive decides to kill his traitorous guard, as he was trying to poison him.

The preparations for the birthday party of Khedive Isma'il are still in place, while the Khedive decides to punish his children for their bad behavior by not attending the party and tells them that he will also punish their mothers for not raising them properly.

Due to the resemblance between them, Princess Gulnar asks Safinaz to assume her role in front of the Khedive, especially since Gulnar is infertile and Safinaz is pregnant with a fatherless child. Princess Ferial asks Tewfik to return the necklace he gave to the maid, but he refuses.

Khedive Isma'il marries Princess Jeshm at his birthday party. Hoshiyar Hanim reproaches Princess Ferial for wanting to leave the palace, and tells her if she insists on this, she must leave everything she has because it belongs to the Khedive.

Ferial becomes jealous after learning that Princess Safinaz is pregnant, while Princess Shafaq is told that the Ottoman Empire is asking her to monitor Khedive Isma'il on the promise to put her son on top of the list of those who will rule Egypt.

Prince Tewfik manages to steal the key to Hoshiyar Hanim's wardrobe, as requested by his mother, Princess Shafaq. Princess Ferial, accompanied by Maria, buys poison in order to get rid of someone. Princess Jeshm remembers the murder of her parents and decides to take revenge on Khedive Isma'il.

The princes' teacher tells the history of the castle's construction and what happened in the massacre of the castle, and the Khedive continues to his sons those historical tales. As the princesses' jealousy is still fuming, Princess Ferial tries to get rid of Safinaz before she gives birth.

With the Khedive's request for the maid Qamar Qadin, both Shams and Mami get angry and decide to plot against her. On the other hand, the Walida Pasha quarrels with Princess Jeshm for her misbehavior and informs the Khedive of this.

As Ferial decides to get rid of Prince Tewfik so that her son Fuad wins the crown, the spy is still circling around Shafaq and trying to take revenge on her. Princess Jeshm accuses the maid Narges of stealing her precious ring.

Severe sadness pervades all of the palace after the death of one of the princes and the Khedive bids farewell to his son in grief. As Aziza tells Narges that Fakhr El-Din decided to get rid of her after she revealed his secret, Narges becomes afraid and does not know what she will do.

As sadness still hangs over the palace after the death of Prince Fuad, the Walida Pasha tries to teach Princess Jeshm etiquette and how to deal inside the palace. After the Khedive discovers love letters between Aunt Nazli and Adham, he reproaches her, and Nazli refuses his interference in her life.

As Princess Ferial is saddened after she bid farewell to her son, Prince Fuad, Princess Shafaq causes a fire in the palace after she decided to have a fortune-telling. On the other hand, the sentence is carried out on Zeinhom after he entered the harem.

As Princess Ferial accuses Prince Tewfik of killing her son, the Khedive divorces her after she refuses to apologize to him. When Princess Nazli escapes from the palace and meets Adham, the Khedive issues an order to have them killed.

The maid Shams Qadin manages to enter the Khedive’s retreat and asks him to spend a different night with him. The Khedive agrees and they flee together, after he apologizes to Princess Jeshm for not spending the night with her due to being tired.

Khedive Isma'il and Shams flee from the palace to a pub disguised as servants. Gulnar sees Princess Jeshm in the arms of Fakhr El-Din and thinks that they're having an affair, while Jeshm confesses to Fakhr that she loves the Khedive and that she cannot kill him.

As Princess Safinaz tries to take revenge on Prince Tewfik at the archery ceremony, Queen Hoshiyar learns of the Khedive's relationship with Shams Qadin and decides to exile her outside the palace. When the Khedive asks to meet Shams, he is surprised that she is poisoned.

Khedive Isma'il unfairly accuses his son, Prince Tewfik, of trying to kill his younger brother Rashid, but the latter clarifies that Tewfik was helping him, not trying to kill him. Ferial decides to use the forged seal of the Khedive and send a telegram bearing the death sentence of Prince Tewfik.

Khedive Isma'il is surprised by the letter his son received, Prince Tewfik, and assures him of his great love for him and orders to change the fake seal. Princess Jeshm refuses the Khedive's gift and tells him that she's hurt by his rejection.

Khedive Isma'il rejects the method of forced labor in digging the Suez Canal and informs the Pasha of this. He also rejects the opinion of Ferdinand de Lesseps, the French diplomat.

Aunt Nazli gets angry when she is locked inside her room by the order of Queen Hoshiyar. As she tries to get out of her ward, she suffers a dislocated shoulder after Khedive Isma'il assaults her. Princess Shafaq and her daughter die.

As Khedive Isma'il tries to console his son, Prince Tewfik, after the death of his mother, Shafaq Hanim, he tells him his story with his grandfather, Muhammad Ali Pasha. Queen Hoshiyar refuses to sit next to Shams Qadin at the dining table.

Princess Gulnar gives birth, but her sister Safinaz with the help of Shwikar manages to get rid of her and take the newborn to herself. Shams quarrels with the Walida Pasha when she learns that she wants to force the Khedive to marry the sister of the late Princess Shafaq.

Jeshm asks Fakhr El-Din to falsely claim that Princess Ferial is having an affair with Prince Isma'il and to tell the Khedive about that. The servants discover the body of Princess Gulnar, who was killed by her sister, Princess Safinaz.

The Walida Pasha is able, in agreement with Mami, to send Shams Qadin to Astana to get rid of her. During the prince's inspection of the palace conditions, the maid Fatima replaces Prince Ibrahim with her son so that her son can enjoy all those blessings.

After Fakhr El-Din sends a message to Khedive Isma'il that Ferial is in a relationship with Inspector Ismail, Khedive learns from Brahmi the servant that Princess Ferial is innocent.

Gulnar reveals to Fatima that she knows about the child, and Fakhr El-Din decides to commit suicide. The Walida Pasha decides to make sure of Shams's pregnancy, and the doctor lies to her about it.

Isma'il discovers that his son Tewfik was trying to put a a hex on Ferial so that she does not have a baby, and punishes him severely. Gulnar decides to appoint a new maid to Shams to be a spy for her. The Walida Pasha decides to prepare Tewfik for the throne.

The Walida Pasha recalls what happened between her and Muhammad Ali Pasha in the past, and Tewfik becomes in her care to teach him the principles of ruling. Nazli tries to search for the stolen ring of the Khedive which proves the lineage of his son from the servant Jamila.

Ferial knows from her mother that her son from the Khedive did not die and that he is alive. The Khedive decides to punish Jeshm with death for high treason and concealing her relationship with her uncle.

As the Khedive decides that Shams return to the harem for crossing the line, he learns of Jeshm's pregnancy and postpones her death sentence until she gives birth. Ferial reveals to the Khedive that they have a twenty-year-old son. The Khedive gives Shams to Sultan Abdulaziz.
