As Mariam celebrates her children's birthdays, she grows suspicious of her husband's repeated travels. Mariam asks Dr. Amal to convince the secretary, Zeina, to spy on him. As Zeina's sister Laila grows concerned that her sister is getting close to her manager, she advises Zeina to stay away from him.

Zeina and Rashed travel to Dubai, where they get married. Amal suggests that Abu Abdel Latif (Abdel Latif's father) enroll his son in a school for children with special needs. Abu Abdel Latif proposes to Zeina, but she refuses.

Zeina informs Rashed that Abu Abdel Latif has proposed to her. Mariam monitors her husband Rashed. When Zeina falls ill, she suspects that she might be pregnant.

When Zeina informs Rashed of her pregnancy, he asks her to get an abortion.

When Mariam discovers that Rashed and Zeina have been married for three years, she insists on getting a divorce. Laila is shocked to learn that Zeina has married Rashed behind everyone's backs.

Amal rebukes Zeina for hiding the news about her marriage to Rashed. Noreiya advises Rashed to divorce Zeina for his children's sake. Laila refuses the idea of her sister getting an abortion.

Abdel Rahman quarrels with Zeina when he learns about her marriage to Rashed. Amal refuses to give Zeina an abortion and advises her to go abroad. Abu Abdel Latif persists in asking for Zeina's hand. Amal considers adopting Zeina's baby if she agrees.

Rashed agrees to divorce Zeina but refuses to acknowledge her baby. The barren Laila decides to adopt her sister's baby.

Abdel Rahman moves to another house with his wife Laila and her sister Zeina. Laila claims to be pregnant until Zeina gives birth to a girl, whom they call Omnia. Rashed's son gets an immune disorder.

As the years pass, the children grow up. Omnia meets Zaid, Mariam's son, without knowing that he is her brother. Zaid tells his mother that he likes Omnia.

Zaid tries to get close to Omnia. Rashed stresses to Mariam that Zaid needs to run some tests at the hospital. Abu Abdel Latif and his son meet Zeina after she opens a clothes store.

Abdel Latif has a breakdown when Omnia informs him that she is in love with someone else. Noreiya is shocked when her ex-husband's daughter asks to stay with her. As Youssef looks forward to getting engaged to his sweetheart, his father Rashed asks him to propose to Shimaa.

Zaid tells Omnia that he wants to propose to her. As Zaid falls ill, the doctor tells him that he needs to run tests for his immune disorder.

Youssef gets engaged to Shimaa. Zaid's health goes downhill. The doctor informs Rashed that Zaid has late-stage leukemia.

Amal's father falls ill. The doctor informs Rashed that Zaid has only days to live. Abdel Latif tells his father that he wants to marry Omnia.

Rashed and Mariam run into Amal at the hospital. The guilt-stricken Rashed thinks that his son's illness is a cosmic punishment for abandoning Zeina. Amal's father passes away. Zaid decides to break things off with Omnia because of his illness.

Shimaa informs Youssef that she was forced to agree to marry him, but she doesn't love him. Zaid starts chemotherapy.

Amal informs Omnia that Zaid has leukemia. Laila opposes the idea of Omnia getting together with a sick guy. Youssef falls for Hoda, Noreiya's stepdaughter.

Rashed and Mariam agree for the former to meet Omnia's aunt to inform her about Zaid's illness. Rashed meets Zeina and tries to convince her to help Zaid have happiness in his final days.

Rashed informs Mariam that Omnia is Zeina's niece. When Zaid proposes to Omnia, everyone is shocked to discover that he is Rashed's son.

Abdel Rahman uses Zaid's illness as a reason to reject his proposal without revealing that Omnia is Zeina's daughter. Zaid starts to hemorrhage and gets rushed to the hospital. Mariam thinks about approaching Zeina about the matter.

Mariam meets Zeina to convince her to help with Zaid and Omnia's marriage, but Zeina rebuffs her. As Zeina brings up the past, Mariam decides to use Omnia's attachment to Zaid to force the former's family to agree to the marriage.

As Zaid's health goes downhill, Rashed appeals to Abdel Rahman to agree to the marriage, but Abdel Rahman remains steadfast in his refusal. Mariam informs Youssef that Omnia is the daughter of his father's ex-wife.

Amal's former sweetheart, Mansour, proposes to her. Mariam and Rashed try to meet Omnia and her family to pressure them into approving the marriage, but Omnia's family continues to refuse.

Zeina thinks about getting Omnia out of the country to close the matter. Mansour suggests that they all come clean and reveal that Omnia is Rashed's daughter.

As Youssef and Hoda celebrate their marriage, Zaid seizes the chance and officially ask for Omnia's hand in front of everyone. But Zeina vehemently refuses without giving any reasons.

Zeina reveals to Rashed that Omnia is his daughter whom he abandoned while Zeina was still pregnant with her.

When Mariam learns that Omnia is Rashed's daughter, she asks Zeina for forgiveness. As Omnia eavesdrops on their conversation, she breaks down when she discovers that Zaid is her brother.

As Omnia asks everyone to hid the truth from Zaid, she confronts Rashed, rebuking him for abandoning her and not acknowledging his paternity of her.

Rashed asks Abdel Rahman to help him prove Omnia's paternity. Zaid passes away peacefully.
