In a fake world, the Germans carried on occupying Europe after the Allies lost the Battle of Normandy. A Welsh village's ladies wake up to find that all the men have disappeared after joining the British resistance to the occupation. Later, German soldiers arrive in the town amid the extreme winter. Women and soldiers must work together to survive these tough conditions.
