Dian Fossey devotes her life to the study of primates. She travels to the forests of Uganda and succeeds in developing a new way of communicating with gorillas. When the Ugandan government rejects her demand to prevent poaching of gorillas, she becomes a hardline animal rights activist and seeks to protect them.
