Sarah gets worked up over her father Sedky's suffering in prison. When Nariman applies for a job as an anchor, the manager Magdy tells her that she won't get the job. Aliaa rebukes Sultan for quitting his job to write poetry.

Nader returns from abroad with his son. Leila finds Malak and brings her back home. Nariman promises that she won't be harsh on Malak. Nader informs his sister that he divorced his wife and inquires about his former sweetheart, Leila. Leila encourages Omar to practice music again.

As Leila wishes to have a child, she starts to give up on the possibility of Malak getting cured. Sultan is surprised that his friend Mourad remains attached to the past. Sa'eid grows worried when Magdy asks to meet Nariman. Nader meets the director Yehia Mounir, who gives him the leading role.

When Nader witnesses Malak and Leila getting harassed, he rushes to defend them. When Nader gets arrested, Sultan asks him to use his American passport, which causes the police officer to release him. Magdy asks his assistant to find an incriminating video to use against his opponent in the elections.

Sultan takes Nader to meet their old friends. Leila breaks down when her mother informs her that they are taking Malak to the hospital. Leila discovers that she is pregnant. Nader runs into Leila, Sarah, and Nariman on their way back from the hospital.

Nader and Sultan visit Yehia's office. Leila meets Malak's doctor. Nariman meets Magdy who informs her that she will be the presenter of his new program. Nader is shocked to learn that Omar is married to Leila.

Furious that Leila has married Omar, Nader is told by Aliaa that Omar supported Leila after Nader left. Leila tells her mother that Malak needs to be admitted to a mental hospital. Leila rushes to check on Omar after he passes out.

Nader is unable to find Yehia when he arrives at the studio. Sultan borrows money from Mourad. Mourad's mother asks him to reconcile with his fiancée. Afaf mediates to calm Aliaa down after Sultan takes her mobile and gold to sell. Sarah and Nader get close.

Malak's health goes downhill after receiving electroshock therapy. Abdullah proposes to Noha. Sarah tells Nader that her father was framed for a crime. As Aliaa complains about Sultan's behavior, they reconcile. Nader asks to see Leila.

When Nader apologizes for abandoning Leila and confesses that he is still in love with her, she rebuffs him. Leila is thrilled when Omar starts working on the soundtrack for a new film. Nader excels during rehearsals.

Leila takes Malak home when she learns about the electroshock therapy. Nader quarrels with Omar, who tells him that he married Leila years after his departure. Sultan is brought down by the tepid reception of the composer. Adel asks Noha to set an appointment for him to meet her mother.

Essam's mother asserts that she never cheated on her husband. Nader demands better treatment from Yehia's assistant, Bassem. The manager of the amusement park tells Essam to increase the promotional material. Nader takes Leila, Malak, and Mansour to the amusement park.

Sarah visits her father who tells her to travel to her mother if he dies. Yehia advises Nader not to let fame get to his head. Sarah asks Nader about his previous sweetheart, but he evades the question. When Leila learns that Nader spoke to Omar about her, she tells him to stay away from her.

Leila contacts Omar to look for Nariman with her. When Leila learns that Nariman is with Magdy, she and Nader drive her home. Nader asks Leila to be by his side for his performance. Sally apologizes to Mourad.

Nader tells Leila about the suffering he endured in the US after he was imprisoned on terrorism charges. Magdy asks Sa'eid to be the manager of the channel and the newspaper. Yehia passes away, leaving Nader devastated.

In the wake of Yehia's death, Aliaa is unable to reach Nader. Leila and Omar go to the same bar where Nader is getting drunk, leading to a confrontation after Nader admits that Leila was right to choose Omar. Omar quarrels with Leila.

Magdy threatens Hajj Abdel Sattar with his videos against Christians and politicians. Essam agrees to marry Hanan in secret. Magdy asks Nariman to stay by his side in exchange for appearing on a TV program. Sultan tries to be more than a friend to Shahinaz, but she keeps their relationship platonic.

As Sarah falls for Nader, Leila warns her that Nader might leave everything behind and leave the country. Essam's mother asks him to help with Noha's trousseau, but he rebuffs her. Aliaa learns that Sultan is in contact with Shahinaz.

Essam lies and claims that Sultan is helping to reconcile him and his wife. Nader decides to leave the country, despite Aliaa's attempts to convince him to stay. Sultan is surprised by Shahinaz's care. As Nader prepares to leave, Leila's mother asks him not to run away again.

Magdy attends Nariman's engagement. When Magdy asks Omar to do the music for his programs, Leila feels disquieted by Magdy. When Leila's mother has a stroke, Nader rushes her to the hospital. Nader asks Sarah not to lose hope that her father will get acquitted.

When Essam gets fired, he takes it out on Hanan, whom he considers a bad omen, and kicks her out. Nader gives up on the idea of leaving the country. Magdy tries to get information about Leila.

Sultan and Shahinaz prepare the poems that Sultan will give to the composer. Nariman threatens to leave Sa'eid if he stands in the way of her dreams. Sarah tries to get close to Nader. Omar tells Nader to get over Leila.

Sultan and his wife quarrel due to the latter's suspicion of him. Leila asserts her love for Omar. Nader gets a new role, but is bothered by the lack of order on set. Magdy offers Sarah the leading role in a film.

Hanan threatens Essam with the paper proving their unregistered marriage, leading him to lose his temper with Mourad, Sultan, and Nader. Mourad feels confused as Sally continues to lie to him. Afaf is annoyed by Nariman's tardiness at work. Nader excels in his new role.

Sultan helps Essam find Hanan. Noha asks Essam to turn over a new leaf. When Sarah gets a new role, she stipulates that Nader must be her co-star. Leila and Malak return to Afaf's house. Sally postpones her marriage to Mourad. Leila asks Omar to manage his father's companies.

Mourad is unable to forgive Sally for the pain she caused him. Sally confronts her father about how his greed drove him to have her engaged to Mourad. Aliaa creates a Facebook account to keep an eye on Sultan. Magdy gets close to Nariman.

Nader meets the director Lo'ai to prepare a scene. Nader advises Essam to have Hanan abort the baby. Sarah nominates Omar as the composer for the new film. Magdy asks to meet Sarah.

Nader prepares for his film with Lo'ai and the other film with Sarah. Leila takes Malak to a rehab center. Aliaa catches Sultan talking to Shahinaz, leading her to ask for a divorce. Mourad tries to reinvent himself but finds himself unable to adjust to his new surroundings.

Hanan's brother asks for half a million pounds to have Hanan abort the baby. Nader starts rehearsals for his new film. Mourad continues to agonize over Sally's actions. Sultan writes lyrics for a song.

When Sarah informs Nader that Magdy is bargaining with her over the role, Nader asks her to tell Leila so that she could warn Nariman, who works in Magdy's office. Lo'ai tells Nader that the producer gave the role to a famous actor. While visiting Essam, Noha learns that Abdullah has died.

Leila admits that she faked her pregnancy. The composer approves the lyrics that Sultan wrote. Omar informs Leila that he quit the movie after a quarrel with the producer. Magdy tries to drive a wedge between Nariman and Sa'eid.

After Omar divorces Leila at her insistence, she looks for work after she gets fired. Leila quarrels with Nariman over her work for Magdy. Nader gives instructions to new actors in a workshop. Aliaa resents Sultan's relationship with Shahinaz.

Mourad helps Noha get her inheritance. Essam sells his apartment. Omar tries to reconcile with Leila, but she rebuffs him and refuses Sarah's attempt to mediate between them. Afaf rebukes Nader for trying to get close to Leila, holding him responsible for Omar and Leila's divorce.

Gharib informs Essam that his mother paid him and Hanan a large sum of money for the abortion, making Essam furious at his mother for her interference. When Shahinaz decides to keep her distance from Sultan, he refuses to let her and proposes to her.

Nariman visits her mother and informs her that her relationship with Magdy is above reproach. Noha and Mourad get close. Malak continues to improve in rehab. Essam regrets his forbidden relationships with women and his harsh treatment of his mother.

Afaf disapproves of Leila's relationship with Nader. When Leila passes out, it's revealed that she is having a miscarriage. Sultan insists on marrying Shahinaz. Sa'eid loses his temper when he finds Magdy in Nariman's house, but she claims that they are getting married.

Mourad asks Noha to find a new husband, but she informs him that she can not have children due to a hysterectomy. Noha encourages Essam to propose to Sarah. Magdy threatens Sa'eid using some videos. Leila gives Nader money to give to Omar to cover Malak's medical expenses.

Afaf rebukes Aliaa for meeting Hassan as a response for seeing Sultan with Shahinaz. Sarah's father gets released on bail. Leila is surprised when her colleague, Ezz, proposes to her. Sultan insists on marrying Shahinaz. Aliaa asks to speak to Sultan to discuss an important matter.

Leila quarrels with Nariman over the latter's relationship with Magdy. Aliaa asks for a divorce. As Nader gives Omar the money, the latter opposes his relationship with Leila. Afaf tries to reconcile Sultan and Aliaa.

Sarah is shocked to learn that Essam is the son of her aunt-in-law. Sa'eid tries to justify his betrayal of Nariman. Nader gets a new role. Nariman learns that Magdy implicated the girl in the video in unseemly affairs.

Sally breaks off her engagement with Fady and tries to win Mourad back. Malak returns home. Magdy promises to help Sarah's father if she follows his orders. Aliaa learns that Sultan is going to marry Shahinaz.

Nader signs the contract for a new role. Aliaa insists on a divorce. Mourad confesses his feelings for Noha. Nader and Leila celebrate the latter's birthday.

Sally is saddened by Mourad's rejection of her. Nader prepares to go to Lebanon to shoot his film. When Nader asks Sultan to divorce Aliaa, Sultan ends his relationship with Shahinaz. Malak dies in rehab. Magdy gets arrested.

Afaf and Leila break down after Malak's death. Nader cancels his trip to support the duo. Sarah's father gets acquitted. Essam promises Sarah that he has changed. Magdy gets released and prepares for the upcoming elections. Nariman apologizes to Leila.

Mourad, Nader, Essam, and Sultan hold onto their friendship to help them overcome their problems. Sa'eid tries to win Nariman back. Essam asks his mother for forgiveness. Sultan reconciles with Aliaa. As Leila gets a job at the rehab center, she gets engaged to Nader.
