Rihana and Saniya run a shelter that hosts women who have been subjected to domestic violence. As Bashayir comes to the shelter, she is perceived to be a reckless and undisciplined woman. Despite their different social classes, Hussien falls for the wealthy Thoraya.

To ward off Thoraya's wedding, Hussin tells the groom's first wife that her husband intends to take another wife. Somaia vents to Rihana about her husband Mo'az's violence with her, and she is shocked when he arrives at the house and threatens her with her past love story.

Despite her father's disapproval, Hussein marries Thoraya. When her father learns, however, he goes to fetch his daughter. Nesrine tells Somaia she had no other option but to stay at the house since her father insisted to wed her off when her first husband died.

To force Somaia to get back with him, Mo'az kidnaps Rihana's son. Thoraya has a breakdown and is rushed to the hospital; she and Hussein elope.

Somaia refuses to return to Mo'az. Ahmed gets back from abroad and reports his daughter's kidnapping to the police. The women's shelter hosts Donia with her baby after she ran away from her husband.

Somaia eventually succumbs to her husband's wishes when he kidnaps Fadila's son to force her to get back to him. Thoraya's father's men storm the place of Hussein's sister to search for Thoraya, but to no avail.

Thoraya rushes to the police for protection and she is sent to the women's shelter. Donia recounts to Rihana her struggle with her husband and why she left him and ran away.

Hussein asks Rihana to help him and Thoraya. Somaia tries to get written proof that her husband is a lunatic and hence gets a divorce. Somaia gets close with Rihana's husband, Ahmed, and Rihana tries to help Mo'az overcome his adversity.

Thoraya's father forcibly takes her home. Rihana tries to reconcile Somaia with her husband but to no avail. A surprise is in store for Rihana when she learns her husband is seeing another woman.

Donia files a lawsuit against her husband to get him to admit they're married and the baby is his, but the court rules in the husband's favor. Omar, Rihana's son develops feelings for Bashayir. Somaia gets closer to Ahmed.

A helpless Donia leaves her baby down the street and returns without him, but Rihana helps her get him back. Omar tells his friend Hussein about his relationship with Bashayir.

Rihana confronts Ahmed with her suspicions, but he sweet-talks her out of them. When Hussein breaks into Thoraya's house, he gets severely beaten and Thoraya manages to run away and returns to the shelter.

Thoraya's father vows revenge on Rihana for helping his daughter, and he pays lawyer Samy to scandalize the shelter and its residents.

Rihana tries to help Dina prove she is indeed married to Aly, and Dina suggests to have a DNA test for her son, but the whole case is postponed.

Ahmed and Somaia marry at court and Rihana spots his car there, but he claims it can't possibly be him; he was out of town. Omar tells Rihana he loves Bashayir and wants to marry her.

Bashayir is transferred to the hospital where she learns she has the hepacivirus C. She tries to contact her mother to allow her into the house.

Mo'az watches Somaia and learns where she lives. As he heads there, he sees Ahmed. Rihana advises her son Omar to reconsider his marriage to Bashayir now that she refuses to return to her mother.

As the inmates of the shelter get food poisoning, the news of the incident spreads across newspapers and Thoraya's father decides to use the news for his own ends.

Rihana takes full responsibility for the poisoning. Mo'az storms Somaia's house when he confirms someone is indeed living with her.

In collaboration with Thoraya's father, lawyer Samy decides to take revenge on Rihana by buying the land and the house. Mo'az quarrels with Ahmed when he learns of the latter's marriage to Somaia.

Rihana learns of her husband's marriage to Somaia. Samy plots with Anisa to have Rihana murdered instead of shutting down the house that provides shelter for many innocent women; his problem is merely with Rihana.

Rihana is shocked and transferred to the hospital. Thoraya's father learns that Hussein doesn't love Thoraya; it's revenge he's after.

Just as Ahmed decides to divorce Somaia, he learns she's pregnant and urges her to have an abortion. The shelter is running out of supplies in light of Rihana's absence.

Anisa suggests that Rihana give up her administrative position to be allowed into the shelter. Rihana asks for a divorce and Somaia refuses to abort.

Nesrine tries to persuade Somaia to leave Ahmed. The conditions of the shelter go downhill and an enraged Rihana refuses to meet the matron who betrayed her and testified against her.

The matron reveals to Rihana that Anisa is behind the poisoning and promises to reveal the truth and prove Anisa's betrayal.

The court validates Donia's marriage to Aly and affirms that the baby is his. Nesrine kicks Anisa out. As Rihana quarrels with Ahmed who slaps her, she leaves the house and goes to the shelter.

As Ahmed's suspicions about Somaia's faithfulness increase, he quarrels with her and beats her up, causing her to lose the baby. Rihana vows revenge on Anisa and promises to get the shelter to a good state.

Ahmed divorces Somaia. Rihana manages to get the surveillance camera tape to prove Anisa's involvement in the poisoning.

Both Anisa and Thoraya's father are arrested. Thoraya learns Hussein's true motives. Rihana returns to the women's shelter and refuses to get back with Ahmed. Omar and Bashayir get married.
