Fifteen years after the Kuwait War, Hayat still hangs onto the memory of her son Dary who went to war to defend his country against the Iraqi invasion, leaving his mother and pregnant wife behind. Hayat and her daughter-in-law still don't know what happened to him.

Hayat is thrilled that her son Salah has returned from the US, but her happiness vanishes when she learns that he married an American. As the family clashes over their differing stances towards the marriage, a guy tries to get into the house, demanding to see Dary.

Salah decides to buy a separate house. Faysal refuses his father's attempts to get him to wed. Wafaa recalls how she met Dary. The family is saddened when the Emir of Kuwait dies.

Ahlam marries Faysal. After his divorce, Badr proposes to his cousin Wafaa but she rejects him. Hayat passes out when she sees Dary in the house's garden.

Hayat is transferred to the hospital. Faysal refuses to allow his wife to visit her mother. Faysal's father tells his wife that he wants his son to marry Ahlam so that he could seize Soliman and Hayat's fortune. Ebtehag starts her job as a secretary in Soliman's company.

Soliman asks Hayat to see a psychiatrist. Wafaa gives up her hope for Dary's return and agrees to marry Badr.

Hayat meets Dary's son who tells her that Dary is alive. Ebtehag tries to get close to Soliman and confesses her feelings for him. Ghazy tries to convince Soliman to marry Ebtehag.

Ahlam is distressed due to Faysal's mistreatment of her. Soliman starts seeing Ebtehag who wants to marry him.

Soliman pushes Ebtehag away. Fahd fights with his brother Saoud after the former insists that Dary didn't die in captivity and is still alive. Wafaa marries Badr.

Wafaa is still hung up on Dary and asks Badr for a divorce on their wedding night. When Soliman dies, Hayat tells Salah that she suspects foul play.

Fahd tells Dary about his father's death. Ghazy tells Hayat that Soliman appointed him as the company's manager prior to his death. When Ahlam asks for a divorce, Faysal beats her. Ahlam threatens to expose his impotence and he passes out.

Hayat asks Salah to run his father's company and prevent Ghazy from taking over. When Salah refuses, Hayat decides to step up and run the company herself. Ahlam tells her mother that she is still a virgin.

Fahd imagines that Dary is seeing his wife Soha. Ghazy informs Salah of Hayat's wish to run the company. Ghazy tells Hayat that Soliman was involved with another woman.

Ghazy proves Soliman's infidelity to Hayat. Saoud tries to convince Fahd to wed, but Fahd believes that he is already married. Dary fights with Fahd over his delusion.

Saoud asks Fahd to see a psychiatrist. Fahd's mother tells Hayat that Fahd is imagining Dary's presence. When Faysal wakes up, he accuses Ahlam of hitting him. Ahlam is arrested.

Hayat tells Fahd that he is imagining Dary's presence as his mother tells him that he is imagining his marriage to Soha. Ahlam threatens to reveal Faysal's impotence to his family if he doesn't drop the charges against her.

When Fahd's mother asks for Ahlam's hand for Saoud, Ahlam refuses because she is still married to Faysal. When Hayat kicks Ghazy out of the company after a fight, he informs her that he recorded Soliman's meeting with the secretary and threatens her.

Ahlam tells Saoud that she is still married to Faysal. When Soha goes to see Fahd's mother, the family discovers that Fahd was right about his marriage. Hayat starts to suspect that Dary is still alive like Fahd said.

Fahd gets in a serious accident. An unknown guy watches Salah and his wife.

A couple of guys assault and torture Salah and his wife to get them to give up the drug bag that was buried in their house garden. Ghazy tries to blackmail Hayat into marrying him and asks his son to drop the charges against Ahlam.

Ghazy tells Faysal to divorce Ahlam. Hayat agrees to marry Ghazy as Ahlam marries Saoud. Fahd tries to convince Dary to see Hayat.

Fahd tries to convince Hayat that he sees Dary on a daily basis but Hayat refuses to believe him. When Hayat marries Ghazy, Faysal and his mother beat Ahlam and Yousef. Fahd recalls his and Dary's captivity.

As Hayat and Ghazy return home, Ahlam fights with Hayat and informs her that Sally got Omnia addicted to drugs. Omnia flees to her brother's place.

Salah discovers that both his wife Sally and his sister are drug addicts. Sally thinks that Salah sold the drug bag. Ghazy fights with Hayat and asks her to forget about Soliman.

Salah divorces Sally and asks to run the company. Ghazy agrees to return to the company.

Ghazy refuses to give the company up to Salah and accuses Hayat of being delusional. Hayat breaks down and is transferred to the hospital.

As Hayat stays in a psychiatric facility for treatment, Ghazy marries Ebtehag. Saoud fights with Ahlam over her negligence.

Salah and Ghazy clash over how to run the company. Hayat receives Dary's remains and buries him.

Salah reports Sally to the police after he confirms that she is dealing drugs. Hayat is released from the psychiatric facility. Omnia starts talking to men on the internet.

Ebtehag steals the video of her and Soliman from Ghazy's office. The cops tell Salah that Omnia is involved with a guy. Fahd's wife gives birth. Salah marries Wafaa. Hayat takes revenge on Ghazy.
