Masoud insists that Ibrahim, his nephew, works at sea despite his young age. Nasayem asks her father not to go diving at this time of year, and not to listen to his wife Shamma. Naeem burns the farm of Abu Hamad (Hamad's father) for refusing to lend him money.
Masoud and Ghoneim decide to take revenge on Abu Hamad, after which Masoud informs Salih, the shipmaster, that he's not diving with him, while Dhahi tells his friends his grandfather's fables.
Masoud forces Ibrahim to dive with the rest of the sailors but refuses that Dhahi and Suleiman join them, whereupon a massive storm hits, and all the sailors die. Masoud wants to seize the key to the shop of Salih, the shipmaster, after his death.
Sadness grips the whole town over the death of the ship's crew. As Nasayem lays the blame on Masoud, the latter asks his son to think of a way to control Nasayem, whom Hamad falls for.
Umm Ibrahim (Ibrahim's mother) quarrels with her brother, Masoud, and accuses him of killing all the sailors. Hamad considers marrying Nasayem, while El Mutawe worries about her after her father's death.
Masoud and his men beat Hamad because of his relationship with Nasayem. Masoud plots with his assistant to kill his sister, Umm Ibrahim, by putting a poisonous snake in her room. Suleiman informs Dhahi of El Mutawe's request to rebuild the demolished houses in the village with his own money.
Masoud asks his daughter, Shamma, to fetch the key to Salih's safe. Masoud's daughter, Rehana, sleeps in Umm Ibrahim's place so that the latter can escape, upon which Masoud's assistant stabs Rehana instead.
Masoud asks his aides to find Umm Ibrahim and get rid of her. Dhahi is upset about the constant problems of his wife and his sister.
Masoud is surprised to find that Salih's safe was robbed, while his son, Ghoneim, asks him that he marry Nasayem.
El Theeb attacks El Mutawe in the dark. Masoud refuses that his son, Ghoneim, marries Nasayem, so Ghoneim breaks into her house at night, but Salman rescues her.
Masoud quarrels with his son, Ghoneim, for trying to assault Nasayem, who escapes and goes to stay at Abu Hamad's house.
Hamad asks his father that he marry Nasayem, but his father refuses and tells him that her father's wish was for her to marry Ghoneim.
As Ghoneim harasses Nasayem again, Hamad quarrels with him, whereupon Obaid and his aides try to beat Hamad again.
Umm Ibrahim returns to the village. Abu Hamad tells his wife that Masoud is the guardian of Nasayem, whom he asks to return home. Masoud agrees with Obaid and his aides to take revenge on Salman.
Umm Ibrahim warns Nasayem of Masoud, who is after her father's money. When Shamma learns that Nasayem loves Hamad, she prevents her from going out of the house.
Masoud tells his daughter Shamma of Obaid's wish to marry her, but Shamma refuses and tells her sister, Rehana, of her love for Hamad, who, at the same time, asks Masoud for Nasayem's hand in marriage.
Ghoneim quarrels with his father, Masoud, for refusing that he marries Nasayem, with whom Shamma quarrels because of Hamad's love for her and because her father is forcing her to marry Obaid. Dhahi's sister Muhra believes that Salman loves her.
Dhahi's sister thinks that Salman asked to marry her, only to find out that he asked to mate his jennet to Dhahi's jackass. Umm Ibrahim tells Nasayem that Masoud seized all of her husband's money after his death.
Masoud rejects Hamad's request to marry Nasayem. When Salman's brother, Faisal, returns from traveling, Hamad's sister takes a liking to him.
Nasayem is surprised by Masoud's attempt to force himself on her, then he tells her that he wants her for himself, upon which Umm Ibrahim saves her from him, and a snake bites him.
Dhahi discovers that Salman has asked to mate his jennet to his jackass after he thought that he wanted his sister. Masoud deceives Hamad, promising him to wed him to Nasayem and asking him to pay her dowry.
Masoud asks Obaid to bring Awad to him, while Ghoneim's illness worsens. Obaid discovers where Umm Ibrahim is. Faisal falls for Rehana.
Masoud fails to reach Umm Ibrahim. Salman asks Masoud for Nasayem's hand in marriage.
Masoud stipulates that Salman and his brother, Faisal, pay him a sum of money in order for him to consider Salman's marriage to Nasayem. Obaid quarrels with Faisal for talking to Rehana.
Hamad believes that Faisal wants to marry his sister. Obaid asks to marry Rehana, but Masoud weds Shamma to him against his will. Masoud finds Salih's prayer beads in Umm Ibrahim's room.
Masoud drives a wedge between Hamad and Salman, after which Obaid beats Salman, and Hamad gets accused of doing that.
After El Theeb kills Awad, Faisal gets accused of the crime. Masoud tells Umm Ibrahim that he seized her late husband's property as well as Salih's.
As Obaid quarrels with Abu Hamad, Salman stands up to him. After Faisal gets released from prison, he goes to Masoud to ask for Rehana's hand in marriage.
After Masoud agrees to Faisal's marriage to his daughter Rehana, a wedding takes place. Masoud locks Nasayem with Umm Ibrahim in the house.
Masoud orders his aides to burn Abu Hamad's farm, but Hamad stands up to them. As Nasayem tells the police about everything Masoud did to her father and his killing of his sister's husband, the police arrest him. Hamad marries Nasayem.
