The events revolve around an unknown artist who finds pleasure in playing the oud he owns, and the people of his village consider him a source of happiness as he performs at their parties and soirees, yet he always is distressed by his wife and her ambitions as she underestimates what he does due to her aspirations for a different life, but he clings to his oud and his art.
