In Al-Hussain area, a microbus driver, Sultan Abu Ghazala, better known as Maulana for his love for Dhikr, quarrels with two guys who harrased a group of young girls. Sultan attacks a rich guy, Ziad, and the latter hires a group of thugs to take revenge on Sultan.
Sultan confronts the thugs and beats them with the help of his neighbors. Hodhod proposes to Nour, Sultan's cousin. Farah's mother refuses to get her to go to work due to the incident, the thing that enrages Sultan. Shehta's intention to meet his mistress alone is shattered.
The police come to arrest Shehta and his mistress, and he calls out for Sultan to save him. Chiefess Soona recruits a thug to find Waad who ran away. Nour accepts to marry Hodhod after much thought, and the wedding is disturbed by Ziad's appearance with a group of men.
Sultan almost kills Ziad, but Farah saves him. Farah eventually accepts to marry Sultan. Sultan considers going to Hurghada in search of a job and he lands one as a driver at a tourism company. Ziad also goes there and a sniper targets one of the two men, but it isn't clear who.
The perpetrator escapes. Ziad thanks Sultan for rescuing him and offers him a reward, then he goes to meet Farah. A number of comic situations and problems alike occur between Hodhod and his wife. Sultan and Shehta are both arrested on charges of defrauding tourists.
Sultan and Shehta are released and they resume their work. Sultan urges chiefess Khamria to set a date for his wedding to Farah. Karakon returns the money that was paid to him to murder Ziad. Sultan returns to the neighborhood, but he is shocked to learn that Farah has run away.
Farah's disappearance leaves Sultan in a state of confusion and helplessness and he eventually frequents bars. Karakon tries to murder a clergyman, but he is surprised by Sultan and Shehta's presence at the man's house.
It turns out that Sultan and Shehta went to the clergyman to gets his advice on how to restore peacefulness to their lives. Shehta's words that Farah doesn't love Sultan hit hard, and he considers fleeing the country. Ziad asks Farah to marry him customarily.
Sultan learns that Ziad and his family are currently out of the country. Hodhod urges Nour to go to the Zar ritual hoping to recover. Shehta learns that Roqia is pregnant, and he also learns that Sultan is shot.
Sultan thanks Waad for her help and then he leaves Egypt. When he reaches his destination, he meets Karakon's friend who turns out to be a mafia leader. Things get worse as Sultan loses his passport. Amid the rituals, Nour faints. Karakon meets Waad.
Sultan crosses paths with an Egyptian man, George, who helps him escape from the police. Farah and Ziad's quarrels over pregnancy continue as he rejects the idea. Karakon advises the clergyman he previously attempted to murder to take care because some people still want him dead.
Sultan goes to the gangster, against George's warnings, to get a forged passport. Sultan is to stay with a group of Arabs. Farah is shocked to see Ziad do drugs, and things develop into a heated argument as Ziad slaps Farah.
Sultan manages to escape and gives the ringleader both the goods and the money. Karakon murderers a man and Waad threatens him that the man's family will seek revenge. While he is together with Farah, Ziad gets shot at and Farah is terrified.
Sultan rescues Kamilia from being murdered, but she refuses to go to the hospital. Farida, Ziad's first wife, pays Farah a visit and accuses her of taking her husband away. Ziad is shocked to learn that Farah is pregnant.
Nour leaves her husband's house following a heated argument between her and Hodhod. Kamilia develops a crush on Sultan and suggests they get married. Ziad asks Farah to have an abortion. Problems occur between Waad and Soona when the former expresses desire to ditch working for Soona.
Kamilia's ex-husband's partners abduct Sultan to force him to work with them. Ziad takes Farah to the hospital to have an abortion, but she changes her mind at the last moment, and Ziad gets mad at her. Waad attempts to run away from Soona, but Karakon takes her back.
Farah disappears, and Farida tells Ziad he won't find her at home. Sultan asks for Jack's advice regarding the threats he has been receiving from Kamilia's ex-husband, and Jack advises him to cooperate if he wants to save his life.
Waad and Farah manage to flee Soona's place and they look for jobs to financially support themselves. Bahr's men have Sultan and Kamilia to force them to give up the procuration, and Sultan and Kamilia quarrel as the former accepts to work for Bahr. Sultan gets arrested and he doesn't know why.
Upon his release, Sultan heads to the airport. Ziad threatens Soona to urge her to tell him where Farah is. Karakon can't find neither Farah nor Waad, and he tries to get the clergyman to help him. Bahr betrays Sultan as he sends orders to have him murdered.
Sultan realizes that he Bahr set a trap for him, but he manages to get the kidnappers' confidence and they eventually do not kill him. Karakon agrees to help Shehta travel abroad if the latter participates in Karakon's next mission that necessitates murdering a man.
Sultan returns to the neighborhood and informs his family of his marriage to Kamilia. Karakon and Shehta learn that they are monitored by the police, but Sultan assures them they don't have to worry. Jack arrives and informs Sultan it was Kamilia who betrayed him.
Sultan sets a trap to take revenge on Bahr who is surprised to learn that Sultan is still alive. Nour has a miscarriage, and Hodhod accuses her of aborting her self intentionally. Farida and Ziad quarrel.
Bahr is arrested and Sultan wants to head the gang in his absence. Farah and Waad escape from the hotel after the owner learns of their previous work and deceit. Ziad pledges to get Soona out of prison if she helps him find Farah.
Kamilia dies in a shoot-out that was intended to murder Sultan. Waad and Farah find new jobs. Sultan moves to a new apartment following Kamilia's death, and he gets a visit from an anonymous who clearly knows all about Sultan's work. Farida tries to reconcile with Ziad.
Sultan arms-dealing business flourishes as he meets with Bahr's leaders to arrange for their future operations. Hodhod wants to reconcile with Nour, but her father's death complicates things between them. Sheikh Belal dies, and Shehta is grief-stricken.
Sultan and Shehta return to Egypt when they learn of Sheikh Belal's death, and Sultan decides to leave the neighborhood. Waad and Farah once more leave their jobs for fear their past might be revealed. Ziad gets Soona out of prison on the condition that she tells him where Farah is.
Sultan is arrested on charges of racketeering activity. Nour goes to visit a clergyman hoping to restore her peace of mind, and she finds Hodhod there. Ziad tells Soona he saw Farah, but she ran away. Ziad is arrested for drug possession.
When the investigation ends, Sultan meets Farah to learn the reason why she left him previously and why she is seeking his help now. Karakon finds Waad and takes her back to Soona. Sultan plans for a new mission. Karakon ponders over Waad's words and he heads to her home to kill her.
Karakon kills Soona mistaking her for Waad, and Waad manages to escape. Ziad gets out of prison and resumes his search for Farah and Soona. Sultan's life is witnessing major changes as Farah gives birth and he tries to ditch his illegal deeds. Sultan tries to reconcile Nour and Hodhod.
Sultan and Farah go to the hospital in an attempt to save Farah's newborn, but the baby dies and Farah is grief-stricken. Sultan rescues Farah and Ziad from being murdered at Amna's, Farah's mother, hands. Karakon commits suicide. Sultan murders Bahr and puts a finale to his criminal career.
