When the Royal Family is stranded in Hawaii following a military coup, they have to overcome internal conflicts in order to return home and secure their lives as well as their future.

As the members of the Royal Family go in different ways, royal guards are after them. Meanwhile, Black Bolt is caught, with his brother being crowned as King.

The Inhumans start looking for one another, while struggling to learn who they should trust.

On Earth, the search for Black Bolt resumes, while Maximus tries to ensure he imposes his control as the new commander of Attilan.

Medusa and Black Bolt resume their attempts to find their family, all while they escape from the Inhuman army. However, Maximus makes a new move that changes the game altogether.

Black Bolt, Medusa, and Louise try to find Crystal. Karnak and Gorgon try to find Sammy and Declan, and they defeat Auran's party. Maximus reveals the plot to have Tibor and his rebels killed.

As the Royal Family makes its way back to Attilan, they confront Maximus with his foul plots. Triton captures Maximus after he kills his guards. Black Bolt prepares to kill Maximus, but a new revelation prevents him.

As Black Bolt and Maximus face one another, things take a shocking turn when Maximus confesses to being involved in Agon and Rynda's death. On Earth, Black Bolt and Medusa decide to face every Inhuman that exists.
