The Gate of the Sun باب الشمس
Khalil tells the Palestinian fighter Yunus, who is in a coma, the story of his childhood love for Nahila. After the Israeli invasion, he used to sneak from Lebanon to Galilee to meet his wife in the Cave of The Sun’s Gate before returning to join his colleagues in the resistance.
In this season, Khalil recounts to the comatose Younis the story of his life, the agony of love and his past memories with his sweetheart Hala, as well as his time with the Palestinian resistance, and how both the personal and the public spheres of his life were absolute tragedies.
