The film's director, Nadine, returns to her homeland, Lebanon, from France, when she learns that her father, the school principal in southern Beirut, is facing difficult financial issues. Family discussions begin about the matter, and about the job he will lose. From these discussions, we get a picture of Lebanese history and the changes occuring in the political scene.
