As Khaled travels with his wife Laila on vacation, she feels tired and the doctor tells Khaled that she has cancer. Duha remembers with resentment how Khaled chose to marry her sister Laila and preferred Laila over her even though she is her older sister.

As Khaled and Laila return suddenly from traveling, Laila reveals to him and her family that she knew that she had cancer and that her days are numbered.

After the failure of treatment, Laila decides to stay away from Khaled so that he would not be tormented after her death, as she records a videotape for him telling him that.

Laila thinks about choosing a wife for Khaled after her death, especially since she begins to see that his mother feels the same. As she informs his sister Abeer about this, Laila thinks about her sister, Duha, and begins to bring them closer.

As Khaled discovers the reason for Laila's cruel behavior with him, she asks him for a divorce. Laila tells her mother that she thinks about her sister Duha to be Khaled's wife and a mother to her daughter after her death.

As Laila tells Khaled of her choice of Duha as his wife, he gets upset, while his mother welcomes the decision; Duha begins preparing for it without telling anyone.

As Laila's health condition worsens, she asks Khaled to marry Duha, and he promises her to do so, while her brother Abdullah rejects the matter. Abeer gets custody of her son after her divorce from her husband.

As Laila begins preparing to separate from Khaled, her sister Duha welcomes the decision to marry Khaled without any regard for her sister's feelings.

As Abdullah insists on refusing Duha's marriage to Khaled, Laila tries to convince him of the matter. Khaled's mother quarrels with Laila and decides to search for a bride for her son.

As Khaled and Duha get married, he leaves her alone in her room on their first day of marriage.

Laila volunteers for charity work. When Khaled's mother asks her son to travel to spend his honeymoon with his wife, he makes up excuses.

As Khaled tells Abeer of the death of the mother of her ex-husband, Zuhair, she worries that Zuhair will come back again. Duha thinks about inviting her family and her sister to her home to spite Laila.

As Abeer takes Laila's daughter to see her mother, Duha quarrels with her until Laila gets sick and her condition worsens; she complains to Khaled.

As Duha quarrels with her sister Laila, she refuses to let her see her daughter again.

As Laila tries to bring Abdullah and Abeer closer, she tells her that she wants him to marry her. Duha uses Laila's daughter to get closer to Khaled.

When Khaled takes his daughter to see her mother, Laila, Duha is enraged when she finds out. Khaled tells Abdullah that Duha prevents Laila from seeing her daughter. When Abdullah asks to marry Abeer, Duha takes advantage of that to drive a wedge between Laila and her mother.

After Duha succeeds in causing a rift between Laila and her mother, as well as Khaled and his mother, Khaled is able to fix everything. As someone sends Khaled a picture of Abeer while meeting Abdullah, Khaled insists on going through with the marriage.

Khaled meets Laila and tells her that he really misses her. As Khaled prepares for the wedding, Laila tells him that she is considering helping an old man.

As Abdullah and Abeer get married, Zuhair kidnaps his son on the night of the wedding. Khaled decides to stay in Duha's room after his decision to stay away from Laila for good.

As Zuhair demands half a million pounds in exchange for returning Abeer's son to her, he gets caught. Laila informs her mother of her marriage.

As Khaled discovers Laila's marriage, he gets close to Duha and tries to love her; she gets pregnant.

As Laila's husband decides to write all his money over to her, his son, whom he left on the street, quarrels with him.

As Laila's husband dies, his son attacks Laila and is arrested by the police. It turns out that Duha agreed with a doctor to falsely claim that she is pregnant.

As Laila is completely cured of cancer, everyone is happy except for Duha. Khaled tells Laila of his happiness and that he misses her. Duha fires the nanny after she tells Abeer that Duha isn't pregnant.

As Abeer tells Abdullah that Duha isn't pregnant, he, in turn, informs Khaled, who decides to make sure of her pregnancy. He discovers that she has a sebaceous cyst that may affect the delivery process.

Khaled discovers that Duha lied about her pregnancy before, but she is now one month pregnant, and that she had threatened her former doctor.

As Duha suffers from a psychological crisis, she is transferred to the hospital. Laila donates blood to her despite Duha kicking her out of the house and keeping her from seeing her daughter.

As Khaled decides to travel with Duha on a vacation, she neglects to take care of Khaled's daughter who almost drowns in the pool; Khaled decides to return her to her mother, Laila.

Duha loses her baby in the hospital and accuses Laila of ruining her life.

Khaled divorces Duha who returns to her family's house. As Khaled tries to persuade Laila to return to her normal life, she refuses.
