Omar is surprised when he wakes up to the news of his death and his collaboration with a foreign state blasted all over the news. As the cops arrive to arrest him, he recalls how a mysterious man gave him a CD and told him it has dangerous information.

When Omar informs his editor that he is still alive and asks for his help, Gabr reports him and Omar is forced to flee officer Shokry. Omar watches as his family and friends attend his funeral.

Omar enlists the help of the cab driver Refaat to hide him in his house. When Refaat's wife grows fearful, Omar tries to leave. Omar asks Refaat for a computer to open the CD that the mystery man gave him but discovers that it has a password.

Omar determines that he can't tell people that he is alive until he manages to prove his innocence. Computer programmer Tera helps Omar open the CD but the information is unintelligible. The cops arrive at Tera's place to arrest Omar but he evades them one more time.

Shokry tortures Tera to get him to confess to Omar's location. Omar meets with an old friend who helps him to crack the CD's code. He visits his fiancée to find out why she changed her stance towards him, despite being the only one who knows that Omar is alive.

Omar visits his ex-wife Mona to see his son. When Shokry arrives at Mona's place, Hesham lets Omar escape and denies seeing him to officer Shokry.

Omar continues to evade the police and manages to help Radwa give those watching her the slip. He apologies for what he did to her and asks her to help him prove his innocence.

Omar recalls his relationship with Radwa and how they used to like each other. When Omar is arrested, Shokry is called in to confirm his identity. Shokry kills the arresting officers after he confirms that they didn't inform General Kamal of the arrest.

Shokry frames Omar for the officers' murder and throws him in the desert with their bodies and a gun. Omar enlists the help of a businessman that he got arrested to prove his innocence in exchange for Omar helping him to seize a piece of land.

Omar discovers the body of his journalist friend with a message that reads "this is only the beginning" and a photo of Omar's son on the corpse. He discovers that the news about his death was published on Gabr's orders. The info about collaborating with a foreign state came from a General Salama.

Omar calls Mona and Hesham to warn them about the possible danger to his son, but unbeknownst to them, the National Security Agency had planted listening devices in their home. Omar tries to find information about General Kamal.

Omar gets a fake passport to use as an alternative for his national ID. He manages to get a hotel room without anyone discovering his real identity.

When Radwa and Omar meet up, she denies sending him any messages and tells him that she got a message from him asking to meet her. Omar concludes that they are being set up. A photographer records Omar and Radwa's meeting to implicate Radwa.

Omar asks Radwa to urge Dr. Saber's daughter to ask for an autopsy of her father's body to prove foul play, but Saber's daughter refuses. Omar locates Hamada Al-Rayes and asks him for information on General Salama.

Hamada refuses to divulge Salama's identity to Omar. Omar escapes and sets Hamada's warehouse on fire. He located General Kamal Selim and pays him a visit, only to find Kamal waiting for him with a gun.

Omar's confrontation with Kamal reveals important facts in Omar's case. The two agree to work together to get to the bottom of what's happening. Kamal provides Omar with a visa.

Omar discovers that his lawyer friend is involved in his espionage case. Kamal receives a CD from Omar and gives him a flash drive that contains videos of the person who gave Omar the CD.

Radwa enlists Yehya's help to gather information about Mohamed Nasr. Gabr confronts Radwa and tells her that he knows that she is helping Omar. Omar agrees to pose as Mohamed Nasr to locate the smuggled money and identify the account's holders.

Omar asks Radwa to bring him a reward from his old officer. The reward contains a bank key to a safe that contains important documents that only Mona can get as his heir. Aser breaks up with Nesreen and gives her the video he took of their encounter.

Shokry tries to convince Omar that he is working for General Kamal but Omar doesn't believe him. Omar shoots Shokry and tries to evade the cops that arrive to arrest him.

When Omar is arrested and beaten, General Kamal gives him a pill that causes him to fall ill and get transferred to the hospital. He sends someone to break Omar out of the hospital.

Omar wakes up in the hospital and receives the keys to his cuffs from a nurse. Omar escapes and finds Refaat who tells him that General Kamal sent him and gives him a phone to call him.

Omar uses a trick to escape officer Sherif along with Mona, Radwa and Yehya who gets shot in the shoulder during their escape.

Omar takes Yehya to the hospital. Omar asks Hesham about the documents he has but Hesham tells him that he gave them to a senior statesman. Omar grows despondent when the statesman disappears along with the important documents in his possession.

As Omar prepares to travel abroad using a new identity, he meets up with General Kamal. Nehad tells Radwa that a senior statesman is going to uncover a major corruption case. Radwa decides to cover the conference, but she is derailed by Mo'tasem who warns her that she is in danger.

When the senior statesman is killed to cover up the corruption case, Omar manages to retrieve the documents he had and gives Radwa a copy to publish. Omar prepares to leave the country under the name Mohamed Matar.

Shokry turns out to be alive. He kidnaps Omar and tortures him until Kamal locates them and sends men to arrest Shokry. Hesham and Mona are arrested on murder charges. Yehya's house is searched for a dead body but nothing is found. He still gets arrested.

As Shokry tries to locate the documents and find out the account number of the smuggled money, it's revealed that he is a part of a large team, all members of security services, that is led by Ra'ouf. Kamal's team manages to arrest them all except Ra'ouf who managed to escape.

Omar reflects on his journey from the moment he woke up to the news about his death to all the hardships he went through.

Kamal and Omar meet after a long time. Kamal discovers that Omar got the smuggled money to give to the poor.
