Saeed asks Amin and the men to deal harshly with the people of Ain El Jaouzeh. The child Abbas, and his family suffer from poverty and hunger. Saeed asks Abu Abbas to give up his land to him. The French become more strict against the people of the village after Saeed’s incitement against them.
Amin informs Sheikh Musa of Saeed’s decision to forcefully seize half of the farmers’ crops. Mahmoud Abu Abis attacks Amin because of his assault on his wife, and Mahmoud hides in the mountain to escape from Saeed and his men.
Amin asks the mayor of the village to expel Mahmoud's family from the village. Abbas escapes from Amin, who tried to catch him. Amin is amazed at Saeed's fear of Musa despite his tyranny, and Musa pledges to protect Abbas and his father's land.
Umm Abbas asks Mahmoud to marry another woman, while Sheikh Musa seeks to secure Mahmoud's return to the farm. Saeed becomes angry after his crops are burned, and Mahmoud is sentenced to death in absentia.
Sheikh Musa takes care of Mahmoud's family in his absence. Amin sows suspicions in the village that Abbas and Mahmoud burned Saeed's crops. Amin kills a man from the resistance during a fight with a French soldier.
Abbas becomes a strong, muscular young man. He is still sad because of his father's absence. He becomes attached to Nessma, his friend Nizar's sister, and is looking to join the resistance against them and Saeed.
Amin, the head of the police station, incites Naseer against the villagers and warns him against their demonstration. Abbas prevents Amin from attacking the men of the village. A number of the village’s youth are arrested, and Abbas and Hamza break into the prison and smuggle them out.
Naseer revolts against his soldiers after the youth of the village escape. Saeed is terrified when he hears the news. The men hide in the mountain. General Le Pen becomes angry and blames Saeed. Musa threatens the village’s mayor.
Musa asks the youth to resist the occupation and not attack any prisoner. Nessma goes up the mountain with food for the resistance youth, and the French forces attack the mountain.
The French campaign returns to its positions and places the detainees in detention. Abbas and the men plan to strike a devastating blow at the French. Amin plants a spy among the ranks of the resistance, and the detainees refuse to tell the whereabouts of the resistance youth.
Youssef the traitor, who conveys news of the resistance to the occupation, is exposed, and the resistance arrests a high-ranking French officer.
Le Pen refuses to release the prisoners, and Saeed convinces him to bargain with the resistance and that Abbas is the leader of that resistance. Nasser comes out of detention and tells Mansour that his brother Ibrahim was tortured in prison. Amin asks Mansour to complete his wedding to his daughter.
The resistance youth refuse to hand Abbas over to the French. Amin marries Mansour's daughter. Abbas decides to leave the village, search for his father, and move away until Le Pen leaves the detainees.
Abbas bids farewell to his mother to look for his father and asks Nessma not to wait for him, but she holds on to him. Youssef feels remorse for his cooperation with the French forces. Abbas saves Wahdan from death after he is exposed to a conspiracy by the youth of his village, Miteb and Sarhan.
Umm Abbas is in crisis and hides the matter from Sheikh Musa and that she is going to work in the field. Amin returns from a travel trip and learns of Abbas’ departure. Ibrahim revolts against his traitorous brother, Youssef.
Youssef is expelled from the village and Khalil decides to leave out of fear of his son’s disgrace. Abbas exposes Miteb and Sarhan in front of the tribe’s sheikh after they tried to kill Wahdan. Abbas asks for the tribe’s help in searching for his father.
Saeed revolts after burning the warehouse and what is in it. Abbas mediates for Tahnoun in his marriage request to Sheikh Saafan’s daughter. Abu Ibrahim and his family return to the village. Amin tells Saeed news of a peasant revolt, and Abbas arrives in Acre in search of his father.
Mahmoud sees Abbas in the market and thinks he knows him. Sheikh Musa gathers the men of the village and plans to build a school in the village. Saeed’s stores are burned again.
Abbas continues to search for his father to no avail. The occupation soldiers try to harass the women of the village and the young men confront them, and Saeed tries to control the agricultural crops in the village.
The village youth set up an ambush for the occupation soldiers. General Le Pen is thinking about storming Ain El Jaouzeh in search of his soldiers, and the bodies of the soldiers are found outside the village.
Umm Abbas's health condition improves, while Mahmoud learns that his son Abbas is looking for him but is unable to meet him. Abbas decides to return to his village and his mother after failing to find his father.
The head of the police station, Naseer, arrests some of the village’s youth. Abbas remembers his beloved Nessma, whom he left behind. The French arrest the youth of the village, and Abbas returns to Ain El Jaouzeh.
Things get tense in Uyun al-Wadi, and Abbas meets with the young men. Le Pen and Saeed decide to leave Abbas to return so that he can be under their watch. Mahmoud decides to return to the village to meet his son and returns on the day of Abbas’s wedding to Nessma.
Abbas marries Nesma, and celebrations are held in Ain El Jaouzeh. Mahmoud meets with Sheikh Musa and tells him about the period of his being away from the village and his escape from the occupation forces. Amin informs Saeed of Mahmoud’s return to the village.
Saeed becomes angry at Mahmoud's escape and accuses him of burning his crops. Abbas learns of the news of the French recruiting some youth from neighboring villages. Sheikh Musa warns Saeed from any action against the people of the village. Mahmoud is arrested, and Abbas and the youth free him.
The mayor refuses to hide the resistance youth, and a bloody confrontation occurs between the French forces and the resistance youth. The resistance sends a warning of revenge against Saeed and Amin because of their cooperation with the French, and the general assaults Sheikh Ismail.
Abbas hides the news of Sheikh Ismail's martyrdom from his brother Hamza and the mayor warns the general of the resistance's revenge. Hamza decides to attack the camp, the village women threaten the mayor and Sheikh Musa's condition worsens.
Amin asks the mayor to convince the resistance to end its operations against the occupier. Hamza attacks the camp with the resistance youth behind him. Reinforcements for the occupation forces arrive, and the mayor fears the resistance’s retaliation against him, Saeed, and Amin.
Resistance youth attack the crop warehouses and seize them, and Le Pen and Saeed go crazy. Sheikh Musa asks the villagers to hide food commodities from the occupation forces. Mahmoud decides to return to Ain El Jaouzeh and join the resistance.
Mahmoud joins the resistance. The resistance youth attack the French camp. The head of the police station, Naseer, flees, and the resistance wins the battle of Ain El Jaouzeh. Saeed kills Amin and flees the village, and Le Pen goes crazy.
