In the city of Homs during the civil war in Syria, the 19-year-old Abdul Baset al-Sarout, a Syrian football goalkeeper, turns into a demonstration leader and singer, then a fighter, while his friend, the pacifistic journalist Ossama, is also forced to change his views as the city witnesses unprecedented violence at the hands of government forces.
