A fire breaks out at Safiya's house after Sondos and her daughter visit her. As Mo'taz is called to investigate, the neighborhood's people call in Sheikh Shams to expel the evil forces from the house. Mo'taz quarrels with his wife Elham before they meet up with Germaine and Saber.
As another fire breaks out at Sondos's house, both Mo'taz and Shams are called in. As Shams performs his rituals in front of Mo'taz, the latter challenges him, prompting Shams to warn him that the Jinn are going to come after him.
Mo'taz starts to experience strange events. As he visits Sondos, he is surprised to learn that Qamar has started to improve after Shams' rituals. Shams tells Zidane that Mo'taz's money won't protect him from the Jinn. Mo'taz is shocked when his guard's room catches on fire.
Hilal tries to fix his relationship with Mo'taz. Soliman meets Shams and offers him money to leave Mo'taz alone. Mo'taz is investigated after he leaves a case file to his assistant. Elham is suspicious of Mo'taz's relationship with Germaine. Shams performs some rituals on Hilal's request.
As Hilal tells Elham that he is still in love with her and that Mo'taz is cheating on her, Elham tells Mo'taz about it. Sondos reveals that her father has a room that contains flammable substances that Qamar has access to. As Mo'taz threatens to expose Shams, a fire breaks out at Mo'taz's house
When Mo'taz arrives home to find the bedroom aflame and Elham missing, he beats Shams and accuses him of kidnapping his wife. Sondos sends Mo'taz to Hasanat in an attempt to find Elham. At his mother's funeral, Mo'taz informs Hilal of Elham's disappearance.
Mo'taz accuses Hilal of kidnapping Elham. Shams is shocked to learn that Hilal's sweetheart is Mo'taz's wife. He accuses Hilal of messing with the red sulfur and using spells which caused Elham's disappearance. Soliman asks Saber to bring his father's hidden inheritance to resolve Mo'taz's problems.
Mo'taz senses that something strange is happening at the villa. Saber travels to Upper Egypt to retrieve his father's magic tools. When Mo'taz shares with Germaine his regret for continuing their relationship after her marriage, she refuses to break things off with their son Yasin in an orphanage.
As Mo'taz tries unsuccessfully to lay a trap for Shams, he ends up beating him and Maghraby, leading to his suspension. Hilal asserts that Elham's disappearance wasn't his doing and confesses to his conneciton to Shams. Mo'taz kidnaps Shams.
Germaine decides to leave Saber due to her love for Mo'taz. Saber confronts Shams and advises Mo'taz to forget about him. Shams vows revenge on Mo'taz. Mo'taz returns home to find weird inscriptions written on the wall with blood.
Germaine passes out when she sees the bloody inscriptions. On the way back home, she suffers a breakdown and Saber takes her to the hospital. Mo'taz visits Shams, who tells him that he knows the identity of his visitor.
Germaine sees a psychiatrist. Mo'taz starts to believe that all the weird occurrences are attributed to the Jinn. It's revealed that the blood used to write the inscriptions is Elham's. An oil painting of Elham is found among the pieces stolen from an exhibit.
Mo'taz finds the painter, who reveals that someone sent a photo of Elham to be painted but never picked it up. Germaine returns to the state of agitation. Sondos confesses her love for Mo'taz. Mo'taz gets a voice note from the painter asking for five million pounds in exchange for Elham's return.
Mo'taz asks his father for the ransom money. Germaine remains possessed and under the control of mysterious powers. As Mo'taz goes to deliver the ransom, he is hit on the head once he reaches the kidnaper's car.
Mo'taz wakes up to find some inscriptions on his car. As he and Saber go to Upper Egypt to look for answers, he is told that Elham will return when he released Shams. Germaine visits Yasin. Mo'taz releases Shams. Zidane gives Shams money to appear on a TV show.
Hilal tells Mo'taz that he saw Elham due to the connection they have. Germaine's mother tells Saber that Germaine is faking her condition. Mo'taz and Sondos go to a Sheikh who tells Mo'taz that the inscriptions are nothing but charlatanism. Germaine surprises Mo'taz by bringing Yasin over.
Mo'taz denies his paternity of Yasin. Saber's mother dies. Soliman suffers from a health crisis. As Mo'taz takes Sondos to his house, she tells him that she saw someone as Mo'taz discovers new inscriptions.
Sondos grows suspicious about what she saw. Shams tells Germaine that her fate and Mo'taz's are connected. Germaine asks for a divorce but Saber refuses. Germaine shares her suspicion of Saber with Mo'taz. Mo'taz finds a number among the inscriptions that belongs to a girl called Asrar.
Mo'taz visits Asrar and finds a statue similar to the one he has. Germaine has a vision of the fate Shams described for her and Mo'taz. Germain takes Shams to her mother's house and tries to seduce him and offer him gold. However, she ends up giving him nothing.
As Shams vows that people will only see Germaine as a monkey, the latter suffers from fearful doubts. Mo'taz and Asrar meet at a nightclub. When he receives a call from someone called Elham, he ends up drawing his weapon in agitation, which lands him in trouble with the police.
Asrar's colleague Elham claims that Saber is the one who put her up to calling Mo'taz, but when faced with Saber, she doesn't recognize him. Zakaria falls ill. Shams tells Joumana that it's possible that Elham is in her house but no one is able to see her.
Mo'taz and Saber reconcile. Shams promises Zidane his support in the elections. Germaine dreams of Shams and wakes up to find wounds on her neck. Mo'taz refuses to help Germaine and advises her to get close to Saber. Germaine tells Mo'taz that Saber is going to get them killed.
Mo'taz proposes to Sondos. Saber sees the wounds on Germaine's neck and questions her about them. Mo'taz tells Soliman that his secretary, Shahenda, is the one who received the ransom. When Germaine confirms that Shams is the one who wounded her, she asks him to get rid of Saber.
Germaine vows revenge on Mo'taz for his wish to wed Sondos. As Mo'taz and his father arrive to ask for Sondos's hand, Zakaria dies. When Mo'taz is called to the hospital where Elham's mother is admitted, he discovers inscriptions in her room that has his and Sondos's names.
Sondos avoids Mo'taz. Elham's father accuses Mo'taz of killing her after he finds a letter that she left on the day she disappeared, claiming that Mo'taz tried to kill her. Hilal is unable to asleep because of the tailsman. Germaine visits Sondos.
As Germaine tries to kill herself, Saber rushes her to the hospital. Sondos demands to know the truth of Mo'taz's relationship with Germaine. Upon his release from prison, Sondos's ex-husband kidnaps Qamar, but Mo'taz and Maghraby manage to get her back.
Maghraby is gravely wounded. Shams continues to appear to Germaine. Hilal tells Mo'taz that Shams's machinations are behind everything that has happened to him and gives him a piece of paper detailing everything that happened, as Shams foretold. Saber is investigated after Germaine's suicide attempt.
Despite seeing the paper that Mo'taz has, Saber refuses to believe his claims. Mo'taz starts to experience some weird events. Germaine is unable to get Shams off her tail. As Sondos and Qamar visit Mo'taz at home, Qamar reveals that she sees a snake inside the house.
Sondos quarrels with Mo'taz, who refuses to believe Qamar. Soliman confronts Shahenda. Mo'taz visits with Germaine's psychiatrist then goes to see Germaine and promises to admit his paternity to Yasin. Qamar starts having seizures just as Mo'taz finds a snake in his house.
Farag tells Mo'taz that the snake is enchanted. Germaine refuses to believe that Yasin is connected to what is happening. Mo'taz tracks a talisman to the nightclub where he finds Elham, who runs away from him. As Mo'taz prepares to wed Sondos, he gets a call that Elham's body has been found.
