When the soothsayer Alkaf communicates to Otba Ibn Al-Aktham a threatening prophecy, he and his sibling run away, as King Al-Janaby asks King Anmar to hand over at least one of the sons of the late King Orchidia to ward off a possible war.
The news that Bothyana's husband is cheating on her with the maid shocks her that she falls off the balcony. As Zaid is down with the fever, Queen Khatun visits him. Anmar speculates about Al-Janaby's request.
Zaid recites to Queen Khatun the poem he previously recited at the school. Otba calls for Khawla to assign her a mission; he also entrusts Zapher Ibn Al-Ayham with searching for Badi'e Al-Orchidy.
Zaid passes away, and the grief-stricken Queen Khatun recruits his mother to work at the palace. Al-Janaby halts importing silk to Anmar, which troubles him. As the Orchidian merchants head with loads of gold to Al-Janaby, they turn out to be gold-plated copper coins.
The queen of Samara tries to poison Queen Ramla, Anmar's favorite, but her plans are doomed to failure. Meanwhile, Nameq's father tries to get him out of prison.
Saif Al-Ezz tries to get King Al-Janaby to forgive Nabeq in exchange for seizing Orchidia. Anmar disguises himself as he goes out to meet Ramla out of public view.
Khawla starts her new role in Orchidia as she tries to attract as many clients as possible within those two weeks. Otba, the prince of Orchidia, meets his followers and allies as Batoul joins them.
Otba meets his allies as they plan to take back the usurped Orchidia. Saif Al-Ezz is entrusted with the safety of Orchidia, while Otba asks Anmar for more time to secure a place for him so that they could avoid clashing with Al-Janaby.
When Princess Ramla is kidnapped, her brother Otba tirelessly looks for her, and it is soon discovered that the madly jealous wife of Anmar is responsible for the kidnapping.
Anmar accuses Al-Janaby of kidnapping Ramla. Saif Al-Ezz starts to claim authority over Orchidia. Bassema, the wife of Baraa Al-Hakim, goes to Khawla's harem pool at Orchidia.
Al-Baraa seeks treatment for his brittle bones at Khawla's pool. Al-Janaby offers Anmar to wed him to Ramla, if she is ever found, in exchange for resuming their silk trade together.
Otba's men ask when they should advance towards Orchidia. Queen Khatun is pregnant with Nameq's baby, which threatens Saif Al-Ezz's rule. Baraa Al-Hakim proposes to Khawla.
Baraa Al-Hakim is shocked to learn that Otba is Khawla's guardian, and Otba asks him to sneak him into Saif Al-Ezz's palace. Upon his orders, Saif Al-Ezz's maid tries to join the women of King Al-Janaby.
Nameq informs his father of Queen Khatun's pregnancy. Baraa Al-Hakim joins forces with Otba, and they ally against Saif Al-Ezz. Meanwhile, Saif Al-Ezz's maid manages to earn Khatun's trust. Otba starts effecting his plan to reclaim the throne.
Fire engulfs the hand-workers' market at Orchidia, and Anmar learns that Otba has left Samara. Anmar's wife falls ill and is bedridden.
Saif Al-Ezz's maid divulges the truth that Khatun's baby is Nameq's. Otba and his men manage to seize Saif's palace, but he escapes. Al-Janaby decides to move with his army towards Orchidia.
Al-Janaby tries to convince Otba to release the prisoners in Orchidia. Saif Al-Ezz is imprisoned. Anmar's wife passes away. Otba is announced as the rightful king. Ramla is released and returns to the safety of her house.
Saif Al-Ezz plots to disguise himself as a guard and escape prison. Khatun looks for the treacherous maid. Otba proposes to Batoul. Anmar learns that Ramla is alive and kicking. Anmar makes up his mind and decides to support Orchidia against Al-Janaby.
The maid returns to Queen Khatun again, and Al-Janaby learns that the baby isn't his. When he confronts his wife, Al-Janaby is so overcome with shock that he falls ill. Anmar proposes to Khawla.
The prophecy prompts Otba to reject Anmar's proposal, and he asks their cousin to marry her instead. Khatun learns that her maid is a spy hired by Saif Al-Ezz. Khawla's attempt to kill Baraa Al-Hakim fails.
Saif Al-Ezz insists on marrying his maid to one of his leaders, despite her clear infatuation with him. As the leader passes away, Saif takes control over the fort himself. Khawla and Al-Baraa come to terms.
In violation of his agreement with Otba, Zapher makes love to Ramla and informs her of the prophecy. Ramla gets pregnant with Zapher's baby. Al-Janaby dies.
Zapher takes his baby away, and Otba has his sister imprisoned until she brings the baby back. As years pass by, Ramla's son grows up and learns the truth about his family; he joins the forces at the fort to learn how to fight. Anmar has Alzheimer's.
Twety years pass by, and Otba has Zapher imprisoned with Ramla as the former tells her how he got caught. Otba prevents Anmar from visiting Ramla.
Khatun rejects her son's wish to marry the daughter of Baraa Al-Hakim and she plots with Nameq to separate the lovebirds. Zapher's son exerts himself during military training.
Khatun's son meets his lover in secret and Khatun decides to forcibly wed him to Ateka. Otba is haunted by apparitions of Alkaf in his dreams.
Anmar roams the streets of Samara aimlessly. Nameq decides to head towards Saif Al-Ezz's fort. Batoul, now Otba's wife, decides to break Zapher and Ramla out of prison.
A group of bandits attacks Ateka's convoy. The war between Assyria and the forces at the fort surges. Saif Al-Ezz sentences his son to death. Baraa Al-Hakim is found dead in his bed.
Otba visits Batoul's father's where Ramla and Zapher are hiding. Otba threatens his daughter with a knife. Anmar's son, Fateh, is murdered. Saif gives orders to have Al-Walid, Zapher's son, ready for war.
Ramla is chosen as a queen to Orchidia. When Fatek, Khatun's son, quarrels with Nameq and kills him, the heavy-hearted Khatun tells him he just killed his father. Al-Walid is reunited with Ramla and Zapher. Saif Al-Ezz is poisoned.
