When the wife of a known politician is killed, her husband Sherif is accused of her murder. Noha, a lawyer, seeks to get assigned to the case.
Sherif denies killing his wife and claims that the murder weapon, his own gun, was stolen before the murder. Despite his efforts, he is sentenced to death. His second wife looks for a lawyer and Noha gets assigned to the case.
Noha's husband Khaled warns her about the case. She proves that a witness has lied to the prosecution. She meets up with Sherif but doesn't believe his claims.
Noha asks Mohsen to locate Sherif's son. She finds Aref, who was being cared for by the murdered Dina, and discovers that Dina was seeing a fortune-teller to whom she gave Sherif's gun.
Aref tells Noha that Dina kept a diary. Upon finding it, Noha finds proof that Sherif is innocent.
When the evidence of Sherif's innocence ends up missing, she suspects either Salama or Yasser of being the culprit. She confronts Yasser who denies the accusation. Sherif is executed.
After a depressive episode, Noha gets back to work. She discovers that her husband obtained a new bank safe on the same day Dina's diary was stolen. She accuses her husband of stealing the diary.
After a beating, Noha wakes up to discover that Khaled had drugged her. When she threatens him, he threatens to accuse her of stealing the diary. They get a divorce and he gets custody of their son.
When Lena goes missing, the police start to question her friends. Noha asks Mohsen to help her find her son.
When a dead body is discovered, Hesham calls Dina's father Gamal to identify the body. Noha resolves to prove that Khaled got an innocent executed.
Noha reopens the investigation into Dina's murder and asks Hesham for information about her and Sherif. When the locket that Lena was wearing when she disappeared is not found among her possessions, the police suspect Amr after finding the locket in his car.
Amr's shoe matches the shoe print of the suspect of Lena's murder. Noha finds out that Khaled is the one who arrested Amr. She gets Mohsen to watch Khaled.
Noha looks into Amr's case and meets up with him, much to Khaled's chagrin.
After Lena's friend Rania denies any knowledge of the case, she changes her testimony and says that Amr was with Lena on the day of her disappearance, which Noha finds suspicious. Khaled finds hidden SIM cards that Lena was keeping.
The coroner's report can not prove Amr's guilt. Noha questions Amr about a call between him and Lena, which was Lena's last call before her murder.
Gamal offers Noha money to give up Amr's case, which prompts Noha to question Amr about Gamal. Khaled discovers that he is being watched.
Khaled tries to reconcile with Noha. Gamal is questioned in Amr's case, but he denied bribing the coroner. Mohsen finds an injured Qamar who signed a promissory note under duress.
Noha asks Qamar to report what happened but she refuses. Amr tells Noha about how his friendship with Lena evolved from a friendship to a romance to a secret marriage.
A mystery man tells Noha that he has information about Amr's case and that Lena is being watched. Bibo asks Sheri for money in exchange for keeping silent about Lena's murder.
Noha tries to identify the mystery man. She confronts Mohsen about him watching Lena and learns he is working for Farida. Yasser discovers new information about Sherif.
Noha demands a second autopsy to be performed. Mohsen tries to steal the promissory note, but he is double-crossed by Qamar. Sheri comes clean and Bibo is arrested.
When Noha suspects that Lena isn't Gamal's legitimate daughter, her investigation reveals that Lena isn't his daughter at all. Amr tells her of Gamal's jealousy and how Ziad, Sherif's son, wanted to marry Lena.
Noha is hospitalized after a car accident. She accuses Gamal of killing Lena and plotting for her accident.
Farida confesses to watching Lena and Amr and her desire for revenge but denies killing Lena. Noha questions Khaled on why he searched Amr's car but he can not answer. Khaled gets a threatening call from a relative.
Khaled tries to prevent Noha from seeing their son, but Yassine finds his way to Noha's house on his own. Khaled agrees to let them spend the day together.
Hesham looks for criminal mastermind Ahmed Abd Al-Aziz. Noha informs Ziad about the development in his father's case, and notices he has the same tattoo as Lena. When questioned, he refuses to answer and calls Khaled afterwards.
Noha confronts Ziad who recounts how he separated from Lena before his father's death and how she called him from a new number before her death.
Noha suspects that Ziad and Samira killed Lena. Khaled confesses to a relationship with Lena and that he helped her kill Nael. Noha disbelieves him but demands her son in exchange for her silence.
Noha proves that Ahmed Abd Al-Aziz is the real culprit in Sherif's case. Hesham arrests Khaled. Noha proves Amr's innocence.
Noha gets the forensics to match a hair found under Lena's nails to one of her son's hairs and proves that Khaled is the murderer. After his arrest, she confronts Khaled who confesses everything.
