Sheikh Salem is upset that Ismail does not attend the Quran classes. Meanwhile, Ismail robs the people in the market. Sawsan asks Saadawi to quickly complete their marriage before her brother gets out of prison.
Everyone resents Darwish's release from prison, and Ghaith tells him that it is necessary to choose between him and El Dalsh so that one of them becomes the chief of the neighborhood.

Darwish orders that Ismail be beaten to make him reveal Daoud's whereabouts. Rashid Pasha gives the mayor a deadline to prove his worth in the neighborhood.
The mayor asks Darwish to leave the market under his administration for a while until Rashid Pasha is satisfied with him. Ismail confronts Darwish's men, while Radwan decides not to remain silent about the injustice that takes place in the neighborhood.
Salem forbids Radwan from doing anything without consulting him. Saadawi disguises himself as a woman to meet Latifa.
Latifa helps Saadawi meet Sawsan so he'd agree to help her get revenge on Darwish. Bilal tells his sister of his love for Souad and his wish to marry her. Darwish throws his son Hamza out of the house and threatens his mother with taking another wife.
To agree to help the mayor, Darwish stipulates that he marries his daughter, Souad. Saadawi agrees with El Dalsh to take revenge and kill Darwish.
In agreement with El Dalsh, Eliano puts poison in Darwish's drink. Sawsan refuses to visit Darwish when he is ill, while Wedad admonishes the mayor for agreeing to his daughter's marriage to Darwish.
Darwish tells Salem of Radwan's wish to marry the daughter of Sunbul, the patissier. As Salem falls ill with tuberculosis, Ismail reassures him about his condition. Suleiman loses his memory.
Yassin drives a wedge between Darwish and Hamdan. Souad refuses to marry Bilal. After one of the soldiers of Rashid Pasha is killed in the neighborhood, the latter rages and orders an investigation into the matter.
The police arrest Hamza to question him about the killing of a soldier. Wedad stipulates that Hamza be released from prison on the condition that Darwish does not marry Souad.
The police look for Ismail and accuse him of killing the soldier. In prison, Darwish is surprised as his fellow inmate, El Ghoni, blackmails him into working with him and becoming his first assistant, otherwise he will expose him for murdering the soldier.
Darwish's men burn the shop where Radwan works. Hamdan meets Ismail and agrees with him to take revenge on Darwish after discovering his betrayal.
Tawfiq tries to gather the people of the neighborhood to stand out against Darwish, who wants to impose a tax. Latifa asks to meet Hamdan to complete her plan.
Latifa agrees with Hamdan to take revenge on Darwish in exchange for marrying her. Abu Bilal (Bilal's father) tells his son that Souad loves someone else. Darwish informs the police about Radwan to get rid of him.
Darwish destroys Amer's shop. Rashid Pasha releases Radwan and decides to look into his feud with Darwish.
Hamdan is adamant that only he will exact vengeance on Darwish. Sheikh Salem passes away.
The residents of the neighborhood confront the thugs and prevent them from entering the neighborhood. Hamdan challenges Darwish, but an unknown person shoots Darwish dead.
