Duha objects to her being forced to marry Farid, whom Soraya tells that she loves him and that her sister does not, but he is determined to marry Duha, who collects her stuff, runs away, and asks Shadia that she stay in her house in exchange for a gold necklace, so Shadia informs her family.

Soraya tells Farid that Duha ran away from the house, while Sharif rescues Duha, who tries to commit suicide by drowning herself in the sea. Farid gets angry and withdraws after confronting Duha's father. Shadia admits that she does not know Duha, who asks Sharif to smuggle her out of Lebanon.

Farid tells Karam that Duha ran away because Soraya loves him. Gibran tells Duha about his mother and brother. Soraya says Farid's lying about her love for him. Hanan's mother worries about her daughter's relationship with Sharif. Shadia professes her love to her manager. Farid tells Mahmoud about Duha.

To take money from Duha to secure his family's future, Sharif offers to marry her so that she can flee abroad. Farid's father asks him to forget Duha, but he's determined to take revenge. Hanan is jealous of Duha's presence and asks Sharif to marry her, but Hanan's father gets angry and assaults her.

Hanan confesses to her mother that there's a relationship between her and Sharif. Duha presents a diamond bracelet to Shadia. Farid deludes Soraya into thinking that he loves her and not Duha. Sharif's mother promises Hanan's mother that Hanan will marry Sharif. Shadia steals and hides Duha's jewelry.

Sharif marries Duha and obtains a passport for her in his name so that she can travel. As Duha discovers that her gold jewelry has been stolen, she tells her father that Sharif rescued her from a group of thieves who stole her jewelry. Sharif confronts Shadia and accuses her of stealing the gold.

The police find Duha's bracelet at Sharif's and arrest him. Duha is angry at what her father did to Sharif. Shadia refuses to confess where the stolen items are. Soraya tells Farid about Duha's return and her love for Sharif. Shadia confesses to Mahmoud that she stole the jewelry. Sharif is tortured in jail.

Soraya promises Duha to take her to visit Sharif, who tells the police that Duha sought refuge in them after fleeing. Sharif's mother promises Hanan's father that their children will marry. Mahmoud worries about Shadia's fate after stealing the jewelry. Sharif assures his mother that Shadia is the thief.

As Aida goes on hunger strike, Laila tries to find out the reason and reassures her about her daughter Nagham. Sharif's mom is worried about her fate and doesn't know how to force Shadia to confess to stealing, but Shadia denies that she stole anything. Duha tells Soraya that she married Sharif to travel.

Sharif's mother slaps him because of his marriage to Duha. Aida hopes that Nagham will return to her if Karam dies. Mahmoud agrees to escape with Shadia. Farid grows attached to Soraya and marvels at her sympathy towards Duha. Sharif asks to meet Karam. Farid discovers Shadia's relationship with Mahmoud.

Sharif's mother tells Karam that his daughter Duha married Sharif so that she can flee. Mahmoud's wife asks him to fire Shadia from work, so Shadia rages at them after her dismissal. Farid watches Mahmoud and Shadia to get the stolen jewelry, while Gibran refuses to give up on Rabab.

Shadia tells her mother that her employers fired her because of a theft accusation and decides to take revenge. Karam gets Sharif out of jail. Soraya tells Duha she knows of her love for Sharif. Duha tells Sharif that what happened to him was against her will. Sharif refuses to take Hanan a wife besides Duha.

The nightmares of the past haunt Soraya about what Karam did to her mother. Duha confesses to Soraya her love for Sharif. Gibran suspects that Sharif stole the jewelry. Sharif asserts that Shadia stole the jewelry. Karam gives Sharif an opportunity to return the gold and divorce Duha, but he refuses.

Masoud, Mahmoud's assistant, is killed. Karam tells Duha about Soraya's mother, whom he married, and warns her about her relationship with Sharif. Gibran prepares to betroth Rabab. Farid asks Mahmoud to inform on Shadia after learning her connection to the theft or Masoud's death. Duha goes to Sharif.

Hanan tells Umm Sharif (Sharif's mother) that she's pregnant, while Mahmoud's wife tries to find out who killed Masoud. Umm Sharif asks him to marry Hanan before she is exposed. Karam gets angry at Soraya's threats to expose Duha, and Shadia denies robbing her and runs away from the house in secret.

As Farid asks Soraya for her hand in marriage, she first asks him to hide Shadia and convince Sharif to kidnap Duha. Farid tells Mahmoud's wife, Adla, that Mahmoud may have killed her brother Masoud and asks Mahmoud to set up Shadia. Soraya tries to find out where Shadia is to restore the gold jewelry.

When Sharif tells Duha that Shadia ran away and Hanan got pregnant by him, Duha is determined to divorce him so that he can marry Hanan. Mahmoud tells Shadia's mother that her daughter is one of those accused of killing Masoud, while Duha rages at her father because of his mistreatment of her.

Aida visits Soraya's perfume store and doesn't tell her she's her mom. Shadia tells Mahmoud that she ran away with the stolen items, so he tells her that she's accused of killing Masoud. Farid makes sure that Mahmoud killed Masoud to blackmail Shadia. Grace tells Karam that Aida ran away from the house.

Mahmoud admits to Shadia's escape after her dismissal and accuses her of killing Masoud. Farid sneaks Shadia before she gets arrested. Karam is afraid of the mystery of Farah's death at the hands of Aida years ago. Soraya asks Shadia to cooperate with her and tells her that Mahmoud informed on her.

Duha wants to leave Sharif despite her love for him, by which her father is shocked. Hanan is angry at Sharif's change in his treatment of her and learns of his marriage to Duha. As she attempts suicide, she loses the fetus and becomes paralyzed. Soraya recalls the injustice suffered by her mother.

The police look for Shadia for killing Masoud and robbing Duha. Soraya meets Aida, unaware that she's her mom, and talks about her father's cruelty and her decision to take revenge. Sharif informs Soraya of the accusations against Shadia and asks for Farid's help. Shadia tells Soraya where the jewelry is.

Mahmoud confesses to Farid that he killed Masoud. Hanan asks to postpone her marriage to Sharif. Shadia asks Soraya to rid her of all charges and let her return to her mother's house. As Duha decides to divorce Sharif in response to her father's request, Sharif tells Duha that Hanan aborted the fetus.

Soraya tells Shadia's family about Mahmoud and Shadia's relationship, the return of the jewelry to Duha, and that her father is hiding Shadia. Soraya returns the jewelry to Karam, claiming that she found them in the palace's garden. Sharif takes Duha by force. Mahmoud confesses to killing Masoud.

Sharif hides Duha until Shadia returns. Soraya declares war on Karam Bey, and Farid tries to stop her. A collapsed Soraya turns to Aida. Karam asks his men to search for Duha and threaten Sharif's family, so Karam's men look for Sharif and Duha. Farid tells Karam what Soraya is up to.

Karam asks Farid to find out where Shadia is. Hanan recalls her love for Sharif and cries because he abandoned her. Grace threatens Karam that he'll expose Aida. Duha tells Sharif she loves him and has never deceived him. Laila, Soraya's aunt, asks Farid to find out where Shadia is to save Soraya and Duha.

Karam confirms to Umm Sharif that Soraya is hiding Shadia and asks her to let Duha return. Umm Sharif asks Soraya to let Shadia return, but she denies knowing where she is. Grace informs the police on Karam after his men assaulted him. Aida asks Soraya to steal Karam's money and inform on him.

Aida refuses to reveal her true identity to Soraya. The officer confronts Karam with Grace's confession and that Aida is alive. Soraya doubts Aida. Duha refuses to return home unless Shadia returns to her mom. As Farid tells Soraya that her mom is alive, she makes sure that the lady she meets is her.

Aida hides from Soraya. Sharif confesses his love to Duha, but the difficult circumstances make matters complicated. Duha rejects Sharif's accusations and reminds him of Shadia's theft and his sinful relationship with Hanan. Shadia returns home and Duha decides to leave despite Samir's pleas.

Duha learns that Soraya's mother killed her mother years ago because of the torture and oppression Umm Soraya was subjected to. Karam is arrested. Umm Sharif scolds Shadia for her relationship with Mahmoud and robbing Duha, who decides to leave the house. Soraya advises Duha to return to Sharif.

Soraya rushes to meet her mother, Aida, whom she learns suffers from heart disease. As they visit Karam in jail, Soraya tells him she loves him because he's her father, but he hated her. Sharif tells Duha he loves her. Duha attends Gibran's wedding and returns to Sharif. Aida dies of illness.
