The Great Bey falls in a complete coma. After Mentoura gives birth to her daughter, she decides to run away with her for fear of being exposed and leaves the newborn in a safe place with the guard Nawras.
The Bey's family decides to rule the village with an iron fist in the face of any rebellion by the peasants. The newborn girl is kidnapped. Maison refuses to marry Rabeh, and the Great Bey dies.
The newborn girl returns to the custody of the foster family. The family that governs the village is afraid when they learn of the emergence of some rebellious peasants.
Fayez succeeds in winning the love of the peasants, which makes one of his relatives jealous of him. Lamis causes the death of Rabha, the maid and the mistress of her disabled brother, Selim. The news of Rabha's death is announced in the village.

Mentoura is sad because Fayez's wedding is approaching. Nawras presents a precious gift to Mays. Nawras tells Fotoun that he will help her and Maison escape from the palace.
Mentoura tries to commit suicide and narrowly escapes death at the hands of Fotoun. After Nizar disappears in mysterious circumstances, his mother tries to search for him.
Fotoun discovers that Anwar has not studied abroad, but is plotting to overthrow the masters of the village. Fotoun patches things up with Mentoura little by little.
Three rebels attack the palace, and Nizar is arrested while trying to free Fotoun. A state of emergency is declared in the village, and Fotoun is placed under house arrest.
Anwar's brothers discover the truth about his work with the revolutionaries. Nizar is subjected to severe torture in order to blow the gaff on who incited him to attack. The Kaymakam supports the Beys. Fotoun is allowed to visit her brother Nizar in prison.

As Nizar's mother says that his real mother is Lamis, the Bey suspends the execution of the death sentence, and Lamis' condition worsens after the recent news. The Bey tries to know the full story behind Nizar.
Abu Anwar (Anwar's father) commits suicide after learning of what his son has done. Rameh becomes the military official. Meanwhile, Fotoun discovers that Nizar is not her brother.
Assaf refuses to return to Mentoura her daughter. Maison is sad because Anwar has joined the rebel brigade, while Rameh tries to reach the rebels.
The Bey thinks of killing Nizar in the cell because he is an illegitimate son. Mentoura decides to spend her last night with Fayez before his marriage.
The Bey reconsiders killing Nizar, and Fayez tries to protect him from any danger that threatens him. A dispute ensues among the revolutionaries after Abu Anwar's death.
Rameh quarrels with Fayez on the wedding day of both of them. Nizar escapes from prison, and Fayez confesses to the Bey that he helped Nizar escape from prison.
When he gets out of prison, Nizar learns from his family the truth about his parentage then runs away. Lamis asks to see Nawras, while everyone in the palace prepares for Fayez's wedding.
Mentoura is extremely sad after Fayez's marriage, while Fayez does not approach his bride on the wedding day on the pretext of being tired.
Fotoun decides to persuade Nizar to return. Selim feels that Fotoun loves him and tries to get close to her, but she tells him that she will marry Nawras.
Lamis' mental state deteriorates even more. The rebels prepare for zero hour to attack the Beys. Selim decides to declare his love to Fotoun.

Fayez offers Nawras that they mend fences and turn over a new leaf. Ghawya, Narges' relative who exposed her, is in trouble after failing to find Narges' money, and it becomes clear that Nisr Bey is aware of everything that is happening.

Due to the influx of armed men, an order is issued to prevent any member of the Beys' family from leaving the palace. Despite Rameh's disarming of the gunmen, the greatest danger is yet to come.
Nisr's mother asks Fayez to pay the ransom required to free Fayez from the hands of the revolutionaries. Nisr decides to devise a plan to besiege the revolutionaries, who try to get Mentoura and Fotoun out of prison.
Fayez returns to the palace. The revolutionaries get money from Shamaa to buy weapons. Lamis hides Mentoura and Fotoun from Fayez, but he reaches them.
As Rameh tries to thwart an attempt to smuggle Mentoura and Fotoun, Mentoura is injured, whereupon Nisr admonishes Fayez for smuggling the two girls.
Mentoura becomes bedridden until she recovers from her injury. Fayez brings Nizar to sleep in the palace and asks Lamis to deal with him normally since he is her son.
The peasants decide not to respond to Nisr's call for a general gathering in the village square. Nizar asks to obtain identification papers proving his lineage to Nisr's family.
Nisr decides to compensate Lamis and Nizar for causing a rift between them all these years. Mentoura grows suspicious of Fayez's thoughts of her.
Nizar disappears from the palace. After Fayez releases all the prisoners, he and Selim are thrown out of the palace, which delights Rameh, who is trying to control everything.
A woman called Anbar comes to the village carrying her children who were murdered at the hands of the Beys' men. Rameh asks the guards to watch Nisr day and night. Lamis flees from the palace.
Anbar recounts the abuse and rape she was subjected to by the Beys. After Rameh loses his head because of the killing of one of the palace's soldiers, he asks that all the people of the village gather to witness Nisr's public execution.
Rameh's plan to kill Fayez fails. Ayoub tries to patch things up with Narges, his wife. Narges' mother dies. Rameh gives Nisr one last chance to yield everything to him.
Many peasants rejoice over Nisr's execution, whereas his family mourns his death. Nizar tries to find Lamis in the wilderness.
Rameh's mother commits suicide, while Rameh demands that the revolutionaries surrender and hand Fayez over, or else he will start killing the peasants one by one, whereupon the revolutionaries prepare to move.
As brutal clashes erupt between the soldiers and the peasants, the revolutionaries join in, and the revolution succeeds against the Beys. Narges updates Lamis on the news of everyone she knew in the village.
