Salma and Yehya find Salma's father's body after someone slits his throat and steals the camera tape. Nahed asks for a list of the participants in a project. Tarek Al-Gamal turns out to be a former employee of Yehya's, as well as Ghada's former fiancé.
Yehya consoles Salma and asks her if he could go to her father's publishing house to search for the video of the surveillance camera himself. Salma informs Omar that she divorced him while he was in jail. Tarek denies his involvement in Yehya's accident.
When an altercation with an unknown person who tried to break into Salma's house leads Yehya to her father's library, he notices that there are two copies of the same book, one of which contains a storage unit with the video of the guy who planted the bomb next to Yehya's car.

As Yehya goes to the publishing house for updates, a lurking thug assaults him. Gravely injured, Yehya slips into a coma and is admitted to the ICU.
Yehya's attacker is a former intelligence officer. Hazem injects him with a slow-burn toxin so that he wouldn't reveal his mission. Hussein grows more suspicious of Hazem.

Yehya races to rescue Ayten. After locating Hazem, his wife, and his father-in-law, Younis reveals the truth: that Fadl was a part of their money laundering scheme. Growing repentant, he planned to expose the whole operation in a book called (The President's Shadow) that Taher was going to publish.
As Younis, Hazem and Hazem's father-in-law are arrested, Yehya realizes that he was the target of the incident that killed his wife and son. He discovers that his own father-in-law was involved in the same money laundering scheme and that he was working with Tarek and Nahed to steal Yehya's money.
