The watchman, Khalil, suggests on Zahran that someone partner up with him on his business, and that he opens a small shop for Sobhi to sell products. Mabrouka asks her husband, Hamed, to buy her a TV and many other requests that burden him.

Mabrouka asks her husband, Hamed, to go to the cinema and take a walk with him. Meanwhile, Zahran tells Sobhi about his desire to buy a VCR and movie VHS tapes for the people of the village. Hamed's father resents his son for neglecting his land and staying up late.

After Hamed is surprised that his son is also asking for a TV, same as what happened in all the peasants' homes, Hamed tells his father that he wants to travel and work in Cairo so that he can fulfill the demands of his wife, Mabrouka. Zahran opens a shop selling various electrical appliances.

Sobhi convinces Zahran not to receive the money for the TV from Doqdoq, the barista, in order to control him and the villagers. Hamed's father is surprised by his son asking how to apply for a passport.

After Hamed says goodbye to his wife, Mabrouka, he travels to Cairo to obtain the rest of the travel documents to fullfil her dreams and stays with his cousin, Abbas, whom he asks to find him a job.

El Beltagy's sister tells Faten that she doubts the source of her father's money, while Hamed works for him in the construction business.

The headman sends to Abd El Samea' in Cairo to find out which country Hamed has traveled to, while Hamed's children keep blaming their mother for pushing their father to travel and leave them.

El Beltagy agrees with his boss on a new smuggling operation, and begins to keep track of Hamed to include him in the operation. Abbas meets El Beltagy's sister, whom he wants to get into a relationship with.

After Hamed is dismissed from his job in the printing press, Kaddoura mediates for him with Master El Beltagy to make him get back to work. With Burhan, Zahran begins plotting to force peasants to sell their lands to buy electrical appliances and pay the installments.

Mabrouka worries when she stops hearing from Hamed, who works for El Beltagy in a laundry, at which Hamed deals drugs while he delivers clothes without Hamed's knowledge, but then he agrees with the police officer to arrest them.

When the headman believes that there is a pandemic spreading among the villagers who lose consciousness, the doctor discovers that they have taken narcotic doses that Zahran distributes. Hamed continues dealing drugs, and deludes El Beltagy of his loyalty, while working undercover with the police.

Abbas' father meets Hamed, tells him about his work in Cairo, and asks him to bring Mabrouka and his children to live with him. On the other hand, El Beltagy asks Kaddoura to change Hamed's appearance to suit the nature of his new job.

El Beltagy thinks of a way to ensure Hamed's permanent loyalty to him. Mabrouka travels with her children to Cairo, where Hamed resides, while the latter continues to deal drugs through his work in ironing clothes.

Abbas tells Faten about his desire to propose to marry her, but when he informs her of their residency in his village after marriage, she refuses to get into a relationship with him. Mabrouka begins to complain about staying alone and Hamed's preoccupation with work.

El Beltagy asks Kaddoura to keep track of Hamed. The police agree with Hamed to deceive El Beltagy to arrest him. Zahran informs Sobhi that they are about to sell all the drugs and close the storehouse in the village.

Rawheya tries to convince El Beltagy to mend fences with his sister, Dawlat, after the latter doubts the source of his money. When Hamed's son gets lost while his mother takes him to the market, he keeps looking for him, after which he asks for a leave of absence from El Beltagy.

Mabrouka thinks about returning to the village again. The chief of the village tells Marzouk of his suspicion that Zahran is affiliated to the drug gang, and that he has bought a vast expanse of agricultural lands. The mob boss asks El Beltagy to prepare Hamed for the new operation.

The police discover that El Beltagy has started distributing counterfeit foreign currency through Hamed. While the murder of Zahran is being investigated, Sobhi takes over his business. Hamed begins to prepare for a new mission for El Beltagy.

As El Beltagy begins preparing to carry out an operation to smuggle narcotic medical drugs, he asks Hamed to travel with Saadoun to receive the shipment, and deceives him that it is a shipment of medical drugs to help the poor.

Abbas informs his father of his desire to propose to El Beltagy's daughter. Kaddoura is thinking about working on his own project away from El Beltagy. The servant, Soka, informs the police officer when the big shipment is going to be delivered, as the police prepares to arrest the gang of smugglers.

The police manage to arrest El Beltagy and the mob boss in the act of smuggling. It is revealed that Marzouk and Nasser, the laundryman, are police officers who were planted to deceive El Beltagy to bring down the rest of the gang. Hamed returns with his wife and children to his land and farming.
