Youssef, the health unit doctor, arrives in the village to take up his job. Mansour is upset by his wife, Sherine's neglect of their young son, Wagdy. When Sherine learns that Youssef is the son of Lawahez, Mansour's first wife, she decides to send him away so that he does not inherit with her son.
Sherine threatens Youssef with exposing his mother's work as a belly dancer at traditional festivals if he doesn't leave the village. Mansour falls ill, Youssef gets close to Nawal and becomes impressed by her. Shafiq, the nurse, agrees with Girgawi to get rid of Youssef, but an unknown person shoots him.
Sherine is enraged by Girgawi's attempt to kill Youssef, and the railway employee Saad is attracted to Nawal. Youssef suggests to Nawal and Saad to treat Wagdy psychologically.
Youssef treats Mansour without telling him that he is his son. Girgawi tries to convince Sherine to falsely claim that Youssef harassed her. Saad proposes to Nawal, and the maid Narjis tells Mansour that Youssef is his son.
Saad succeeds in changing Wagdy's behavior, and Mansour confronts Lawahez about concealing his paternity of Youssef. Mansour suffers a heart attack, and Youssef rushes to treat him.
Sherine decides to transfer ownership of Mansour's lands to her name, and she believes that the mountain pursuers have kidnapped Mansour, so the pursuers shoot at Girgawi and he is injured.
Lawahez asks Youssef to leave the village and travel and refuses to give Mansour his property to Youssef. Shaaban listens to Shafiq and Girgawi’s talk against Youssef.
Sherine accuses Narjis of stealing her ring, causes a rift between Saad and Nawal, and claims that she has a relationship with Youssef. Mansour dies amid an argument between him and Sherine over the distribution of his property among his children.
Wagdy's psychological state deteriorates after his mother caused his father Mansour's death. Youssef tries to resolve the matter by suggesting to Sherine that he see a psychiatrist.
After Nawal's separation from Saad, Lawahez asks Youssef for Nawal's hand in marriage, and Saad asks Sherine to marry him. Saber asks to be transferred from work.
Saad reports that Saber is exploiting his position to pursue personal matters. Youssef proposes to Nawal, insisting that she live with Sherine in his late father Mansour’s villa. Sherine marries Saad.
Girgawi informs the police about Shafiq stealing the farm's crops to get rid of him. Investigations indicate that Sherine was involved with Girgawi in several crimes. Wagdy disappears, and Youssef is accused of kidnapping him.
The police investigate Wagdy's disappearance, and it turns out that he was in the station. Youssef is released, opens the new health unit, and decides to help Sherine and provide her with psychological treatment.
