As Lazhar returns from his travels, his mother prepares the house as Gamila leaves her aunt's house. Lazhar's ex-wife and his daughter Manal meet him at the airport and take him to lunch.

On the way back to his neighborhood, Lazhar films a woman giving birth and quarrels with her husband. Naglaa's father wants her to wed in order to get over her bad psychological state. Manal wants to visit her father's family in the countryside.

Lazhar takes Manal to the countryside which angers Naglaa and her mother. When Manal falls off a tree and gets transferred to the hospital, Gamila stays by her side. Naglaa and her father get Manal back through the police. Mohsen takes his son against Gamila's wishes.

Naglaa's father introduces her to a suitor who wants to marry her but she rejects him. Lazhar goes to a job interview at the lab but he ends up fighting with the director.

Lazhar meets the guard of Al-Tayeb's house and gives him money to buy Manal a pet. He meets Gamila in the capital and asks her to stay with him for a couple of days.

As Al-Maghzal and Manal meet with Lazhar and Gamila, Naglaa comes to take her daughter. Gamila meets Al-Monsef Al-Sawaf who drives her home. It turns out that Gamila's ex-husband thought that she is in a relationship with Lazhar. Senda starts working at the lab and Shokry falls for her.

Al-Monsef asks Gamila to remarry. Naglaa tells her father that she will wed Hamady if he allows Manal to live with Lazhar. Al-Tayeb fires Al-Maghzal. Gamila quarrels with Mohsen who tries to kidnap her, but her mother stops him.

Gamila shares her dreams with Al-Monsef who proposes to her. Karim has lunch with his classmate's family and introduces them to his mother. Lazhar discovers that Shokry stole and took credit for his research.

Naglaa asks Lazhar to help her. Gamila corrects Naglaa's mistaken belief that she and Lazhar are in a relationship and informs her that she is going to wed Al-Monsef. Lazhar cancels his trip to Paris.

Lazhar contacts the research center in Paris and confirms that his research is registered under his name. The director who helped Shokry steal Lazhar's research has a heart attack.

Naglaa decides to wed and invites Al-Maghzal to the wedding. Shokry gets demoted. Naglaa grows angry when she learns that Lazhar went to France. Gamila's son resents her for marrying Al-Monsef.

The secretary vows revenge on Shokry. Lazhar becomes the director of the research center. Lazhar asks Al-Maghzal for Naglaa's number in Germany so that he could check on his daughter.

Mariam hopes to wed Mohsen. Samah starts working in the archives. Senda fills Samah in on the center's secrets and makes Shokry believe that she is on his side. Gamila's son is taken to the hospital.

It's revealed that one of his father's workers had Karim locked up so that he could ransom him off. Karim returns to his mother. Samah exposes Shokry who fears for his position. Senda admires Lazhar.

Mariam runs away from home after a fight with her mother. Gamila weds Al-Monsef. Shokry meets Samah to get information about Lazhar and Senda.

As Mariam's condition worsens, Al-Monsef tries to convince her to move in with him and Gamila but she refuses. Lazhar's strict work ethics make some of the employees resent him. Mariam asks her father to wed her to Mohsen.

When Al-Tayeb and his wife go to Germany, they discover that their daughter works as a dancer at a night club. Lazhar tries to put an end to illegal practices in the center. Mohsen sells his properties which makes Gamila consider interdiction.

As Al-Maghzal prepares for his wedding, Lazhar and Senda visit him. Al-Tayeb gifts Zainouba with a golden necklace, which makes Elham jealous. Naglaa's health deteriorates and she wishes to return to Tunisia. The police crash Al-Maghzal's wedding because he is accused of theft.

Lazhar and his friends are imprisoned, even though the former had nothing to do with what happened with Al-Maghzal. Al-Tayeb learns about Lazhar's predicament from Elham. Mohsen falls ill and becomes delirious.

As Lazhar gets released, he delegates his work to Senda which makes Abdel Wahed angry. Al-Monsef travels abroad for work, leaving Gamila alone. Karim shoulders the responsibility for his father's land.

Lazhar tenders his resignation but Abdel Wahed begs him to reconsider. Lazhar stipulates that Shokry must be fired and that he gets to manage the place however he likes. Mohsen dreams that Gamila returned to him.

Gamila gets pregnant. Senda tells Amin that she admires Lazhar. Mohsen starts to recover from despair. Mariam tries to go to Tunisia to locate Mohsen.

Sa'eid films Al-Tayeb and Elham to blackmail Al-Tayeb. When Karim goes to visit his father, the latter asks him to ask for Gamila's forgiveness on his behalf. Mariam arrives in Tunisia but she she gets beaten and nearly robbed.

Mariam returns home and asks to raise Gamila's daughter. Senda's father opposes his daughter's relationship with Lazhar. Karim is thrilled to have a new sister.

When Al-Maghzal is released, Sa'eid tells him that his wife went to the countryside with her mother. Lazhar's project is a success, thanks to Senda's efforts. Mohsen gives Gamila a procuration to keep the land so that he wouldn't sell it in a moment of despair.

Ezz Al-Din opposes his daughter's marriage to Lazhar. Naglaa returns from Germany in a bad condition. Tension rises between Lazhar and Senda.. Elham asks Sa'eid to divulge her relationship with Al-Tayeb to the latter's wife.

After an employee tampers with the food products formula, the police arrive to interrogate Youssef after people get poisoned. Lazhar and Senda lose their privileges. Lazhar goes to Germany to visit his daughter who rejects him.

Shokry gets his job back. Manal reads her father's letter and feels guilty for rejecting him. Zuhur quarrels with Sa'eid because he hasn't proposed yet. Karim marries his sweetheart and has a daughter.

Sa'eid weds Zuhur. Naglaa asks her father to give Lazhar custody of Manal. Sa'eid wants to produce a new song but Zuhur is concerned that he will squander his money. The girls at the lab fight over Shokry.

Mohsen weds Mariam. Manal returns from Germany and reunites with Lazhar. Naglaa remarries Lazhar. Zuhur and Sa'eid agree not to expose Al-Tayeb. Al-Tayeb rehires Lazhar.
