Dahab tries to kill Hammam, so his men shoot her. Journalist Fawzi takes her to the hospital. Hammam tries to kill Zain. Nadine asks Badr to leave Upper Egypt, but he refuses at first because he is the family’s breadwinner after his father’s illness and Kamal’s death.
Nadine is determined to leave the palace, and Noman Al-Bakri visits Hammam and turns out to be an arms dealer who worked with Hammam. Everyone denies knowing Dahab while the police search for her. A car containing drugs breaks into the ambush that the police prepared for it.
Khaled beats his sister Maryam for visiting Officer Fares under the pretext of asking about her imprisoned father. The drug men are arrested. Maryam claims that she did not see those who shot her and that her name is Fatima. Hammam insists on attending the fruit auction.
Fares, who Officer Maher had asked not to marry Maryam, requested the release of Maryam's father, Abed. Hussein, the supervisor of Khaled's stores, is arrested for having smuggled pesticides in the stores. He is then released on bail, and Zaher claims that he killed Kamal in self-defense.
Rostom, the Chief Detective, asks Abed not to return to the arms trade. Hammam slaps Kamalat for making Zain sell the crop to her. Hammam asks Alia to file a divorce case against Zain. The guard informs Zain of the spoilage of the pesticides taken from Hussein.
Zain’s mother asks her son to divorce Alia. Abdullah, the imam, gives Alia a fatwa denouncing his father's request. Fawzi visits Dahab to ask about her health and goes to Fares to ask him about Maryam’s whereabouts. Abed tells his son that Hammam was the one who reported him.
Abdullah asks Hammam to ignore the divorce case. Dahab escapes from the hospital. Hussein's position in the case becomes difficult after the forensic laboratory discovers that the pesticides have expired, and Zain asks Alia to tell her father that Abed asked Zain to kill him.
Alia tells her father what Zain said, and Hammam thanks Zain. Arabi asks Zain to take Alia home, but the latter’s mother refuses. Rostom asks Fares to appoint his niece with Fawzi at the newspaper. Dahab goes to Fawzi at the newspaper’s headquarters.
Fawzi calls Dahab Fatima as she told him, and she still lies to him about who shot her. Zain's mother makes false statements that Kamal was the first one to attack Zaher, and Khaled reassures Hussein that he will tell the prosecution that the warehouses belong to him.
Hammam orders his men to burn Zaher's house. Rania, Rostom's relative, works for Fawzi. Badr is surprised that Hana is hosting the newspaper's party honoring businessmen. Khaled kills Hussein and asks Radi and Fawaz to testify that Zein was the one who killed him.
Arabi tells Hammam that Zain has been arrested for a murder. Badr quarrels with a young man sitting with Hana in the café. Hana tells Aziz that Badr is stalking her and wants to marry her by common law. Badr asks Aziz not to tell Nadine what Hana said.
Farghal becomes suspicious of Fawaz because of the money he owns, and a romantic relationship begins between Dahab and Fawzi. Hammam devises a plan to smuggle Zain from the prosecutor’s office to where Noman lives. Abed and Hammam exchange threats because each of them knows what the other has done.
Hammam agrees to let Alia go to Zain in his hideout after Kamalat’s insistence. Farghal consults Hammam about the marriage of Fawaz and Radi to his two daughters, but he tells him no. A man informs Zaher of Abed’s desire to meet him and ties him up. Hammam comes with a cart of dogs and they eat Zaher.
Fares asks for Maryam’s hand, and Kamalat is happy to take revenge for her son. Forensic medicine proves that dogs are the ones who ate Zaher. Farghal asks Fawaz and Radi to meet him to tell them his opinion about their marriage to his two daughters. Fares accuses Hammam of killing Zahran and Zaher.
Farghal asks Fawaz and Radi not to tell anyone about his agreement on their marriage for fear of Hammam, and he takes a large dowry from them for his two daughters. Abed agrees with his son to go to Kamal’s funeral to remove any suspicion of hostility with Hammam in front of Fares.
Hammam informs Dr. Abu Mansour that Abed has been released from prison for a short time. Farghal’s daughters ask Abdullah to persuade their father not to marry them to Fawaz and Radi, but he fails. Khaled informs Maryam that Fares will be fired from the police after he marries her.
Maryam asks Fares to back down from her engagement so as not to cause him to leave his job, but he refuses. Fawzi recalls his sister’s suicide because he insisted on marrying her to someone she did not love. Alia goes to Zain and Khaled learns Zain’s whereabouts after sending someone to follow Alia.
Instructions come from higher authorities for Fawzi not to publish anything about Badr. Khaled tells Fares where Zain is hiding, so a force comes to surround the place, but Zain escapes. Maher tells Hammam that he has an arrest warrant for Alia
Alia leaves the prosecution office without guarantees after answering as the lawyer asked her. Abu Mansour visits Abed and asks him about the reason for his dispute with Hammam. A group of men strip Fawzi of his clothes in the street and photograph him to blackmail him.
Alia suffers from severe bleeding, leading to miscarriage. Farghal tells his two daughters that they will forcefully marry Fawaz and Radi. Fares comes to Fawzi's house, and Dahab hides until Fares leaves the next day.
Hammam congratulates Abu Mansour on the opening of the health unit. Farghal takes his two daughters and Fawaz and Radi, to get married to a distant official after making them drunk so that they sign a confession that their testimony against Zain was false, thinking that they had signed the marriage contract.
Zain hides with a fisherman called Imad. Hammam’s lawyer submits Fawaz and Radi’s statements to the prosecution. Fawaz and Radi deny signing the statements. Farghal’s daughters testify that they did not leave the house. Khaled and Abed are arrested and brought.
Zain decides to go fishing with Imad despite his wound. Khaled, Fawaz, and Radi are detained pending the case, and Abed is released. Nadine apologizes to Badr for not traveling with him, and Badr receives court notice that he is being sued by those fired from the cement factory.
Rostom informs Fares of his transfer from the bureau of investigations to the drugs department. Khaled is released on bail after the criminal laboratory confirms that Fawaz and Radi were under the influence of alcohol when signing. Maryam asks Fares to separate.
An officer finds the car that Zain said about, and the driver confesses to beating Fawaz and Radi to Zain. Badr asks director Rami, who works with Hana, to buy his company. Khaled asks his father to kill Fawaz and Radi before they confess about him.
Zain is released after surrendering himself to the prosecution. Khaled asks Fawzi and Radi not to mention his name in the investigation. Two officers ask Hammam about Dahab, and he claims that he is her relative. He learns from the nurse that the one who found Dahab is Fawzi.
Fawzi confronts Dahab with his knowledge of her real name and slaps her for lying to him. The prosecution asks for Zain’s testimony about the people of the island where he hid and he denies knowing any of them. Hana learns that Badr has purchased the company that was producing an album for her.
Hana goes to Badr because of the delay in the album after he bought the company. Gaber, Zaher's son, returns from Libya to live in the palace with Zain, his mother, and Alia. Zain asks Gaber to meet Hammam, and Khaled asks Radi to kill Fawaz in exchange for escaping him from prison.
Gaber and his wife, Baghdadiya, reassure the people around them. Fawzi leads a campaign against the Ministry of Health based on some documents that the prosecution discovers are forged. Fawzi is imprisoned pending the case. Fares goes to Fawzi’s house and finds Dahab.
Dahab tells Fares what happened, and he asks her to file a report on Hammam for killing her husband, so she flees from Fawzi’s house. Aziz scolds Badr for burning cement and selling it for less than its cost. Fawzi informs Hammam of Dahab’s escape, and masked men burn Hammam’s gardens, then the palace.
