As a sandstorm hits the city, and hospitals are filled with the sick and injured, Firas and his sisters continue to search for their mother, the writer Iqbal. Everyone is surprised that the press found out about it. When Dr. Hoda goes to check on Iqbal, she finds her unconscious.
As Dr. Hoda tries to save the unconscious writer Iqbal, Iqbal remembers her life when she was young with her mother Bazza and her uncle Salem, and how her mother suffered in life until she was a teenager.
After Bazza and her daughter Iqbal travel to Egypt to study, Bazza dies, and Iqbal's uncle, Salem, prevents her from completing her studies; he insists on her marriage to Badr, who agrees for her to complete her studies, despite his two sisters' refusal of the matter.
As Iqbal takes care of her disabled cousin Khazneh, she and her husband Badr complete their studies in Egypt. After Iqbal has a miscarriage for the second time, she discovers Badr's marriage to another woman, but he divorces her to please Iqbal.
Iqbal and her husband return to Kuwait, where she works as a teacher and writes her first book. Badr gets close to her colleague, Mona.
The maid Krona works for Iqbal and takes care of her until Iqbal gives birth to her first child, Fawaz. Iqbal continues her work as a writer and becomes famous.
Dr. Hoda accompanies the writer Iqbal, who looks back at her past memories and remembers her husband Badr's continuous betrayals and his multiple relationships.
Majed's father dies, and Kuwait is occupied by Iraq. As the years pass, Hessa, Iqbal's daughter, gets married, as does Fawaz. Iqbal becomes a grandmother.
Iqbal rebukes her daughter Hessa for the inappropriate treatment of her husband after their wedding. Badr suffers a heart attack; his sister blames Iqbal for not agreeing to Hessa’s marriage to her son. Iqbal discovers that Hessa's husband has married another woman.
When Iqbal confronts Nasser about his marriage to another, he reveals to her that he's going through hell with his wife. Badr is transferred to the hospital and falls into a coma.
After Iqbal decides to resign from school, she blames her daughter, Hoor, for her reckless behavior with her friends despite her father's illness. Iqbal is surprised by many of her colleagues and students in front of her home, asking her to return to work.

When the doctor tells Iqbal that she suffers from Parkinson's disease, she decides to establish a community for patients with this disease. Iqbal is surprised by the disappearance of her friend Sherifa, and believes that she left her because she relied on her a lot after her illness.
Iqbal resumes her writing by using an audio recording that is transcribed into published articles and her popularity continues, and she's shocked by the death of Sherifa.
As Hessa and Fawaz's financial situation worsens in their new project, their aunt tries to take advantage of the situation. Hessa discovers that her mother knew about Nasser's marriage to another, and she didn't tell her.
Hessa quarrels with Nasser, who tells her that he married another woman because she stopped caring about him. When Iqbal's children forget their mother in front of the hospital, she finds none other than Majed to take her home.
Iqbal decides to leave her home and hide away from her children; she asks Majed to rent her a house on the other mainland and asks her maid, Krona, not to inform anyone of the matter.
Iqbal resumes her recordings and writing in the exile she chose for herself. Hessa tells Fawaz that she is considering divorce.
Iqbal is surprised by some people smuggling things across the sea; Majed visits her daily to provide her with her requirements.
After Iqbal informs Majed of the smugglers, they discover that there is alcohol inside the boxes. When Majed asks Iqbal to return with him because he will lose his job because of her, she refuses.
Hoor tells Fawaz and Hessa that her husband's family kicked her out of the house. Iqbal gets to know Dr. Hoda and her husband.
On the day of the accident, as the sandstorm strikes the entire city, Hoda rescues Iqbal and returns her to her home. Iqbal continues to visit her husband Badr, lying in his coma, and she's honored for all of her work.
