Despite his wife's disapproval, Ibrahim goes to France to complete his studies, only to be imprisoned after being implicated in a robbery. With no news about Ibrahim, Nagat raises their children alone with her uncle's help. When Ibrahim returns, Nagat is left reeling since she thought him dead.

Shocked by his return, Hala refuses to greet her father. As Ibrahim learns that his mother has died, he tells Nagat and their daughter the story of what happened to him in France. Al-Arousy grows nervous when he learns that Ibrahim has returned. Hosny tries to help Ibrahim adjust to his new life.

When Ibrahim visits Al-Arousy in his company, they end up quarreling, and Al-Arousy files a complaint against Ibrahim. Raouf intervenes to get the charges dropped. Ibrahim recounts what happened to him in France to his best friend.

Ibrahim quarrels with Nagat, accusing her of not dealing with their daughter properly. Tension rises as Ibrahim tries to control Nagat and their daughter. As Ibrahim looks for a job, Hosny tries to help him prove that Al-Arousy robbed him.

As Hosny steals documents from the company and gives them to Ibrahim to prove Al-Arousy's theft, Al-Arousy discovers that one of his employees have been making copies of company documents and giving them to Hosny. Lilia asks Nagat to get her brother away from them.

When she discovers that Al-Arousy has robbed Ibrahim, Lilia asks Raouf to pay attention to the company. Ibrahim travels to the countryside to meet his sister and present his project to her. Mokhtar plans to build an apartment for his son above his own apartment.

Rashid opposes the wish of Hosny's girlfriend to become an actress. Nagat grows angry with her daughter because she visited Selim's house to study with him. As Honsy tells Rashid that he wants to marry Nayla, both Nayla's mother and Nagat oppose the marriage.

As Nayla's mother and Nagat change their opinion, Rashid holds his daughter's engagement to Hosny. As Ibrahim brings a document proving that he was not imprisoned on drug charges, Nagat grows to believe him. Al-Arousy tries to give Raouf money to leave the company.

Nayla marries Hosny, who continues to help Ibrahim to expose the truth. Al-Arousy asks his daughter to stay away from Ibrahim's daughter. As Hosny quarrels with his wife, Nagat visits the latter's mother and asks her to speak with her daughter. Ibrahim sees his daughter leaving Selim's house.

As Mokhtar finds a thief in his house and arrests him, the thief confesses that Al-Arousy sent him to rob Ibrahim and steal some files off the computer; however, the thief denies everything he said in front of the police. Nayla refuses Hosny's wish to have a child.

As Selim anxiously awaits his exam results, his father agrees to let him ask for Hala's hand after the results. Hamouda testifies against Al-Arousy, leaving the latter to be summoned by the police. Hala passes her tests, much to her mother's happiness.

As Selim passes his exams, Hala celebrates her own success. Hosny struggles with his wife's neglect of him. As Fadwa meets Ibrahim, he recounts what her father did to him and how he got him imprisoned. Raouf catches feelings for Nagat's friend. Hosny grows jealous of Raouf.

As Nagat grows suspicious of Ibrahim, she shares her suspicions with Hosny and asks him to divorce Nayla since she doesn't love him. Raouf decides to stand up to Al-Arousy and take his rightful share in the company. As Al-Arousy gets in a car accident, Ibrahim gets questioned by the police.

As Ibrahim gets imprisoned, Rashid asks Al-Arousy to drop the charges against Ibrahim, but Al-Arousy refuses. When Dalila visits Ibrahim after he's released from prison, Nagat gets jealous. Lilia replaces Al-Arousy at the office.

Selim's mother is saddened by her son's travels. Thinking that Ibrahim is having an affair with Dalila, Nagat asks for a divorce. The case is held for deliberation. Rashid asks his daughter to walk out on her acting career, but she refuses.

As Nagat and Ibrahim reconcile, the latter becomes a famous researcher. Hosny catches feelings for Khawla, who goes out with Raouf as she remains unaware of Hosny's feelings. Lilia manages to convince Al-Arousy to give her brother his share in the company.
