Following her husband's death, Cathy gets ready for his funeral, while having to deal with problems with her brother's partner and her son's girlfriend, but Micheal helps her get through the day.

When Cathy's brother Derek visits her on Valentine's Day, his partner Pauline is not so thrilled about it. Jason reveals a surprise, and Cathy gets a Valentine's card.

The family gives Cathy a hand when she decides to clear out the garage. Derek meets a new millionaire friend. Cathy discovers a new side to Kelly, and Michael must make an important decision.

On one of the summer's hot days, Cathy leaves Kelly and her cousin sunbathing, while she goes out with a new friend, and Micheal can't wait to find out who he is.

Kelly is worried that she might have to relocate, after Jason goes on an interview for a job in Australia. Michael sturggles to keep a secret.
