As Dr. Mariam prepares for her wedding, she asks the hospital manager for some time off. On the wedding day, she is shocked when her fiancé, Abdullah, insists that she must leave her job after marriage. When Mariam refuses, Abdullah postpones the wedding.

Khaled is upset with his brother Abdullah for breaking off his engagement to Mariam. Mariam's sister, Samia, plots with Khaled to reunite Abdullah and Mariam. Mariam decides to volunteer for a medical convoy going to Bangladesh.

Umm Reem (Reem's mother) puts her daughter in Abdullah's way to get him to forget Mariam. Mariam arrives in Bangladesh, where she meets Dr. Lewis and Mahmoud as she starts work.

Khaled starts getting close to Samia. In Bangladesh, Mariam's colleague tries to get close to her. Lewis forms an opinion that Mariam won't bear the hard work.

Dr. Lewis changes his opinion about Mariam after she proves her efficency. Abu Mariam (Mariam's father) learns of Samia's relationship with Khaled.

Abu Mariam warns Samia against continuing her relationship with Khaled for Mariam's sake. Lewis decides to transfer Mariam to another medical unit after she shows insubordination and crosses him.

Lewis reconsiders his decision to transfer Mariam, offering her an apology as he starts to teach her about the system in the convoy.

As Lewis's car breaks down while he is on his way back from the village with Mariam, the two of them are forced to spend the night in the forest. Hesham becomes a manager in Abdullah's company.

When Dr. Beth submits a complaint against Lewis, Mahmoud mistakenly thinks that Mariam is the one complaining. Umm Mariam (Mariam's mother) tells her husband that Mariam has no problem with Samia and Khaled's engagement.

When Lewis learns about the complaint against him, he also believes that Mariam is behind it. Samia starts her new job in a cooking show. Hesham threatens Reem to expose his previous relationship with her to Abdullah if she continues to complain about him.

Reem asks Mariam to stay away from Abdullah. An earthquake puts the convoy at risk, leaving Mariam to pull out all the stops to rescue her colleague, Dr. Salem.

When Lewis confronts Mariam about the complaint, she denies having anything to do with it. Lewis decides to take Mariam along on a medical tour. Beth tells Mahmoud that she is the one who made the complaint to get Mariam away from camp.

Lewis and Mariam travel to a dangerous location, beset by protests and gangs. Abdullah decides to marry Reem. Khaled helps to bring the cooking show back on air after it stopped for a while.

Hesham tells Abdullah about his previous relationship with Mariam, but Abdullah doesn't care. Dr. Lewis starts to get close to Mariam.

As Abdullah and Reem get engaged, the latter is shocked when she finds her engagement band bearing Mariam's name. When Salem and Mariam have a fight, he uses her relationship with Lewis to threaten her.

Abdullah assures Reem that the jeweler mixed the names and wrote Mariam's name instead of hers. Ramez plots with Salem to take revenge on Lewis and Mariam. Ramez threatens Beth to expose the forgery incident unless she helps him against Lewis.

Dr. Abdel Aziz arrives at the camp to investigate the complaint. Mahmoud's former fiancée, Dr. Nadia, arrives at the camp.

As Nadia asks Beth to stay away from Mahmoud, Beth becomes wary in her dealings with him. The investigation continues as more doctors get questioned. Beth admits to Abdel Aziz that she is the one who made the complaint. Samia discovers that Khaled is the reason the cooking show went back on air.

Ramez hires a guy to kidnap Mariam and Beth, sending Mahmoud and Lewis looking for them. Abdel Aziz warns Salem against casting doubts on Mariam's behavior.

As Umm Reem discovers that she has cancer, she is disappointed to receive no support from Abdullah. Nadia complains about Dr. Ramez to Dr. Lewis. Mariam returns to the camp with Dr. Beth.

Mariam tells Lewis that the village chief who kidnapped her revealed that Ramez put him up to it. Hesham promises to reconcile Khaled and Samia. Abdel Aziz concludes the investigation and leaves camp. Mahmoud tells Nadia that their relationship is over.

Ramez threatens to expose that Salem is taking sedatives unless he splits the shipment with him. Beth tells Mariam that Mahmoud loves her and that he has broken up with Nadia.

Umm Reem starts chemotherapy. Samia and her mother publish a cooking book. Mahmoud suspects that Salem has become addicted to sedatives.

As Lewis confesses his feelings for Mariam, she tells him that she has different traditions from what he is accustomed to as a French citizen. Beth and Mahmoud get engaged.

Khaled and Samia get engaged. Mariam's efforts get recognized and awarded.

As Umm Reem dies, Reem breaks off her engagement to Abdullah. Abdullah tells Mariam's father that he wants Mariam back and that he has no objections to her work.

Abdullah decides to go to Bangladesh to find Mariam. Nurse Suko discovers that Salem has been stealing drugs.

Abdullah arrives at the camp. Beth tells Mahmoud that she is pregnant. Reem decides to marry Hesham.

Suko tells Abdullah that Mariam might have feelings for Dr. Lewis. As Lewis falls ill, Mariam takes care of him. Samia's father asks Khaled to postpone the wedding until her sister returns from her travels.

Lewis asks Abdullah to go back home and leave Mariam alone, leading to a fight between them. Lewis discovers that Mariam still has feelings for Abdullah as she decides to go back together with him.
