Negan unleashes his brutality on Rick's group, leaving them traumatized and broken. As they mourn their losses, they have to try and figure out how to move on from the devastating encounter.

Carol and Morgan are introduced to the residents of the Kingdom and their leader, Ezekiel, who is hiding a secret from his own people in the name of protecting them.

As Negan and Dwight try to torture Daryl into submission, the former sends Dwight on a mission to retrieve an escaped Savior.

Negan arrives in Alexandria to impose his control on Rick's group, leaving Rick reeling as he comes to terms with the fact that they are all under Negan's mercy now.

Maggie and Sasha's residence at the Hilltop is put on the line when Gregory confronts them over their failure to end the Savior threat. Jesus and Sasha plot to find out Negan's location.

As Tara is rescued by the members of a survivor community consisting exclusively of women and children, she comes to learn of the devastation that the Saviors have visited on other survivors.

Carl's plans for Negan backfire when he is found out. Rosita and Eugene make headway in their attempt to make bullets.

Negan's visit to Alexandria takes a brutal turn that puts lives in danger. Michonne is able to inspire Rick to shake off his gloom and assume leadership again.

Rick attempts to rally other survivor communities to join the fight against the Saviors. With the Hilltop on his side, he takes a trip to the Kingdom in an attempt to win their support as well.

As Rick comes across a new survivor group, he sees an opportunity to win more people to their side in the fight against Negan. Richard and Daryl clash after the latter discovers what Richard's plan to convince Ezekiel to join the fight entails.

Eugene makes connections at the Sanctuary. Dwight is forced to deceive Negan when he finds out who is responsible for Daryl's escape.

With Rick's group in dire need for weapons, Tara wrestles with the decision to reveal the existence of Oceanside. The leader of the Scavengers throws a wrench in the preparation to fight Negan with his demands.

A regular supply delivery takes a horrific turn when Richard interferes to get the Kingdom to join the fight against the Saviors.

Daryl and Maggie scramble to hide when the Saviors arrive at the Hilltop with something other than supplies in mind. Sasha makes a decision while in the Sanctuary.

Rosita makes a surprising alliance with an old enemy. Tara tries to get Oceanside to join the fight. Sasha learns of Negan's plans for Alexandria.

As Negan and Rick face off, Sasha is forced to take drastic measures to try and tip the scale in Alexandria's favor. A shocking betrayal threatens to bring Rick and his group down.
