At dawn, Gregor wakes up to the police knocking on his door to use his balcony to enter his neighbor's apartment, whom no one has seen for two years. As they find his neighbor's decomposing body, Gregor becomes haunted by this event for the rest of his life. As night falls, it becomes impossible to turn back.
