The landlord Metwally quarrels with the residents and insists on increasing the rent to force them to leave the property so he can sell it to the businessman Abdul Rahman.

Aziza and the rest of the residents refuse to leave their homes, so Metwally tries to convince them to leave the property in exchange for giving each of them an apartment in a new building. As Zaher offers to help an amnesiac man, he gives him work in his bakery, and calls him Gharib.

Aziza discovers Metwally's deception of the residents and that the new building is on the verge of collapse. Azouz thinks that Gharib is a police officer undercover. Abdul Rahman's second wife, Madiha, demands that he announce his marriage to her.

Siddiq tries to convince Zaher to marry Aziza and raise her children. Azouz seeks to bribe Gharib in the hope of getting closer to him. Metwally discovers that Abdul Rahman has secretly married Madiha.

Saber is afraid of Gharib and asks Azouz to get rid of him. Zaher becomes jealous of Aziza's closeness to Gharib. Metwally threatens to expose Abdel Rahman's marriage to Madiha if he does not give him the ownership contract for the property he sold to him. Gharib is beaten by an unknown person.

After becoming certain that Gharib is not a police officer as rumored about him, Zaher convinces him to marry Aziza. Radwa refuses to travel abroad with her fiancé Sharif. Metwally devises a plan with the lawyer Fouad to evict Aziza from the apartment.

Abdul Rahman bribes the municipal employee to issue a decision to demolish the property because it is falling apart. Aziza prepares to marry Gharib, who turns out to be an escaped convict on death row.

Gharib hides from his wife Aziza that his real name is Fayez and that he is escaping from a death sentence. Abdul Rahman’s first wife, Hanaa, insists on getting her brother Hamid hired in the company so that he can keep an eye on her husband.

Gharib receives a phone call from Kamal, who reveals to him that he has been sentenced to death for killing a police officer. As Rashid returns to live in his apartment in the property, he agrees with Metwally to persuade the residents to evacuate it in exchange for money.

Kamal accompanies Gharib to receive the smuggling money that he shared with him, and tells him that he was a drug smuggler. Meanwhile, Rashid discovers that the property has entered the building zone and will be sold for a large price.

Kamal convinces Gharib to see a doctor to help him regain his memory. Zaher is taken to the hospital and Gharib decides to pay the full costs. Gharib plans with Kamal a new smuggling operation.

The gang leader agrees with Gharib to try to buy Zaher's bakery in order to place a counterfeiting printing press in it. Abdul Rahman tricks the employee, Abbas, into helping him vacate the property and then reports him to the police.

Kamal tries to force Gharib to become a drug addict so that he can control him. The latter discovers that he is not escaping execution, and that Kamal pushed him to seize Zaher's bakery. Hamid quarrels with Abdul Rahman, who decides to leave the company to him.

Hanaa discovers that Abdul Rahman is married to Madiha. Kamal seeks to persuade Abdul Rahman not to buy the property, so that no one will discover the printing press. Tariq proposes marriage to his neighbor Radwa.

Hanaa's lawyer tries to reach an agreement with Abdul Rahman to return her money to her. Siddiq asks Zaher's son to sell the bakery to him. Abdul Rahman suggests to Kamal to become his partner in building a hotel in place of the property.

After the police find the bodies of Azouz and Saber, the police officer agrees with Gharib to help them reach the gang leader. The police officer reveals that Gharib is a Saudi national who has lost his memory, that his name is Saleh, and that the gang tried to exploit him.

Abdul Rahman decides to divorce Madiha. After it's revealed that Siddiq is the gang leader, the police arrest him. Gharib meets his Saudi wife, who welcomes Aziza and asks her to travel with her to Saudi Arabia.
