The Old Man, Hamasa, and the Khawaja steal the shoes of the people while on prayer. When Boudy tells Fathy about the theft, Fathy flogs them. When the trio decides to retaliate, the Khawaja enters the neighborhood at night carrying Fathy's body and telling the people he's dead.

The people in the neighborhood hold elections to determine Fathy's burial place. When Kasia wins, it is decided that Fathy should be buried with his mother. As the people go to bury him, they find heaps of money in his grave.

Dalida reveals that she was married to Fathy. Mekheimar and the men of the neighborhood raid the tombs and kidnap Ghariba and Hamasa to reclaim their rights. Azhar gives the mad people the money and smuggles Hamasa and Ghariba out.

Kasia, the Old Man, Azhar, the Khawaja, and Hamasa pay Heneya a visit to propose that Boudy succeeds his father, but Heneya demands her share of the money first. Fathy devises a plot to get rid of Mekheimar.

When Dousa's mother goes missing, Mekheimar helps her search for her. The Khawaja and the Old Man kidnap Mekheimar's son. Mekheimar tells everyone that Boudy kidnapped his son.

Mekheimar's son shows up with the words "Beware Eblise (the Devil)" scribbled on his body, prompting everyone to believe that the Devil is still alive.

Boudy and Heneya hide Eblis's body in the refrigerator. Mekheimar is still looking for Boudy. The people grow convinced that it is Dousa who hid Eblis's body.

Mekheimar sends his men in patrols around the neighborhood to maintain order. It is revealed that Boudy stole Eblis's body. Boudy asks Ramzy to help him hide; otherwise, he will expose him using the memoirs he found.

Boudy's wit is a threat to Azhar. Boudy meets Hamasa, Ghariba, and Dousa secretly and asks them to collaborate with him. Boudy becomes the Sheikh of the Neighborhood (the headman), with Dousa promising to inform him of everything taking place in the neighborhood to keep him well-acquainted.

Boudy finds Heneya stabbed in her room, leaving her in a critical condition while Boudy suspects all the people around him. Eventually, Heneya wakes up from her coma.

Boudy confesses to the people of the neighborhood that he is blessed with no special, spiritual gifts; he merely plotted with Azhar to deceive them. Heneya confronts Mekheimar that she knows he was the one who tried to kill her. She asks him to protect her son to atone for his crime.

Ghariba has a dream where she sees Mahmoud, the kidnapped boy, returned to the neighborhood. As she wakes up, the dream mysteriously comes true. Hamasa and the Khawaja find Ramzy's diary, but not a single word has been written in it.

Dalida tells Heneya that Hamasa is her son. But when Heneya goes to take him back, Azhar quarrels with her. The people deceive Heneya by claiming that Hamasa is her son, just to seize her money.

The people come across Dousa's father's dead body. Boudy saves Mekheimar's son by donating his blood. The people grow convinced that Boudy has supernatural, healing powers. Ramzy says that he found the body at his house and disposed of it in a bin, but he didn't kill anyone.

Boudy finds out that Heneya has been behind all the vicious schemes in the neighborhood, while the Old Man goes to kill Kasia.
