As Sarah goes back home, she tries to hide the scent of smoke that is clinging to her clothes. Sarah's mother doesn't believe Zakia when she tells her that Sarah is smoking; however, she asks her brother, El Tohamy, to beat her daughter to get her to quit smoking.
As Doga asks El Tohamy to find a bride, Sarah asks him to mediate with her mother to allow her to get a driving license. However, Sarah ends up taking the car and getting in an accident.
As Sarah asks her mother for money to buy some clothes, Zakia pulls the mother's attention away as she visits to recount lies about her own relationship with her husband and her daughter, Nawal. Sarah goes out to shop alone after her mother gives her the money.
Doga tells her daughter the story of how she married her husband, revealing that her husband didn't love her. As Ziad confesses his feelings for Sarah, Ziad accidentally hits Sarah's mother, who informs her brother to come and beat Ziad.
When Doga goes out, she tells Sarah not to open the door to anyone. When El Tohamy shows up, Sarah refuses to open the door until he proves his identity to her. El Tohamy and Sarah make the living room into a tutoring center.
Ziad tells Sarah that he wants to marry her. As Sarah asks her mother to allow her to go out, she asks Ziad to buy a sedative so that she could drug her mother and go out, but her mother overhears her.
When Doga tries to get Sarah to go to her exams, Sarah tells her that she had a dream about a handsome guy who gave her a ride in a fancy car. Doga calls Sarah's uncle to come and discipline her.

When Sarah tells her mother that she has gained weight, Doga resists her love of food and starts training at home. When her neighbor Zakia sees her training, she tells her that her weight loss has made her ugly and that she needs to eat to restore her beauty.
When Doga's mother arrives for a visit, she reveals that she is going to get married. Fearful that this will cause a scandal, Doga tells El Tohamy as Sarah makes fun of her mother.
When a man and his son arrive to check Doga's car, Doga mistakenly believes that they came to ask for her daughter's hand, leaving her to prepare and get her daughter a dress for the engagement. With the two men bewildered, El Tohamy figures out that they only came to buy Doga's car.
Sarah and Ziad plot for the latter to dress as a fortune teller to deceive her mother. Doga believes Ziad as he speaks to her about her husband and brother, but as he asks her to give Sarah money, Doga overhears a conversation between Sarah and Ziad and learns the truth.
As Sarah starts revising for her exams, she wants the house to be quiet, only for her uncle and grandmother to arrive to stay with them. Sarah's friend comes to study with her, but ends up eating a lot of food.
El Tohamy impersonates a producer and tells Doga over the phone that her daughter has failed, but Doga is able to hear him through the door and learns the truth.
When Sarah decides to be independent and move out, her mother asks her to stay in the house, but pay rent and take care of her own affairs. Sarah soon gets tired of bearing the responsibility and returns to her mother.
Sarah recalls the way her mother treats her and how she dislikes her actions and pushes her to do the opposite of what she is currently doing. Doga reflects on her relationship with her daughter.
