A murder takes place at a newspaper, the journalist Asma is accused of killing her husband Idris. Her colleagues are stunned when they hear the news, and they don't believe that she did it.
Idris's sister comes to Morocco and asks the investigator to arrest Asma. Murad takes over the newspaper in Idris's place while Asma is in a psychiatric hospital. She recalls the events and her relationship with Idris.
Idris's memorial service takes place for Idris as his sister points fingers at his wife Asma, but Murad tells her that the police didn't charge her. The psychiatrist asks Asma about her previous life.
In a flashback, Asma goes to live at her aunt's house with her husband and son, but she is not happy and tells her friend Ghezlan about it. As for Idris, he works in a famous newspaper and he is married to a woman he does not love.
Asma runs into Idris in front of the newspaper where she wants to apply for work. She meets the director who approves of her but she will start training first. Her aunt's husband uses her for money and her aunt is ashamed of that, while Idris's ex-wife tries to approach him.
Asma's aunt quarrels with her husband after he takes money from Asma to gamble. Asma is happy with her training in the "Free Pen" newspaper. She buys the newspaper to read Idris's articles because she admires him.
Asma decides to move out and live by herself after she quarrels with her aunt's husband. Idris teaches journalism at the university and Asma finishes her training.
Asma becomes Idris's secretary. Idris's wife tries to get back together with him, but he rejects her and tells his sister.
Asma gets to know her colleagues in the newspaper and Murad tries to teach her. Idris faints and goes to the hospital. When Asma visits him, Murad is surprised to see her and tries to indirectly tell her that Idris is in a relationship.
When Idris returns to work, Murad grows jealous because their colleagues prefer him so he tries to plot with Idris's ex-wife. Asma meets Idris and his sister and he meets her aunt's husband.
Idris meets the owner of the apartment in which Asma lives and invites him to dinner. Asma goes to visit her aunt and brings her son gifts.
When Idris's ex-wife goes to the newspaper and humiliates Asma, Idris tries to apologize to her. Asma's aunt's husband defrauds her, and Idris stands beside her as the apartment's owner tries to help her.
Idris resigns from the newspaper after his ex-wife becomes a partner because he doesn't want her to control him. Asma fears that this is her fault. Idris meets the owner of the apartment and asks him to meet Asma.
Idris tells Asma that he loves her and wants to marry her. Sana has a nervous breakdown which saddens her father. Idris goes to Asma’s aunt and asks for her hand in marriage and Asma is overjoyed.
Sana tries to commit suicide. Idris prepares to marry Asma and helps prepare their apartment. Murad tries to find a way to take revenge on Idris.
Idris and his sister go to check on Sana and the doctor reassures them as Murad also goes to talk to her. The aunt's husband returns home when he learns that Asma is getting married. Sana goes to a psychiatrist.
Asma gets sick and Idris stays with her until the doctor comes. Sana suffers from a mental disorder and continues to be treated by a doctor.
Asma gets better and goes to see Idris while he's doing a TV interview. Asma's aunt's husband locks his wife in a room until she gives him money but her son gets her out.
Asma is jealous when Idris goes to visit Sana and she asks him not to see her again. Idris runs for elections and prepares to have a political life. His book signing event is held at the newspaper and his marriage to Asma becomes official.
Asma and Idris go for their honeymoon. Asma's aunt's husband is busy with Facebook. Asma gets a stomachache and her friend tries to contact Idris.
Idris finds out that Asma is pregnant and he's overjoyed as well as her aunt and Hoda. Asma gifts her aunt's husband a new computer. Ghezlan starts working for Sana and tries to get close to Idris.
Asma gives birth and Sana donates blood for her. The baby is kept under observation because he is premature. Asma is grateful for what Sana did for her. Idris goes to the house with Ghezlan to bring Asma clothes.
Asma is upset when she sees Ghezlan getting close to Idris. Idris and Ghezlan have an affair, and he tells his sister. Asma wants to take revenge on Idris.
Asma pretends that she forgives Idris and Ghezlan for what they did and she becomes involved in the cannabis trade. Sana admonishes Ghezlan and becomes friends with Asma. Asma's aunt's husband starts trading in stolen items.
Idris quarrels with Asma for taking drugs. Murad helps Asma trade drugs. Sana breaks ties with Ghezlan because of her relationship with Idris.
Idris tries to get close to his wife and prevent her from taking drugs. He meets with people who want to work with him. Idris's sister gets engaged.
Back to present time, the investigator believes that Asma did not kill Idris, especially after an officer finds narcotic pills. As he questions a colleague of Asma, he asks her to help him, while Asma is in the psychiatric hospital.
The medical examiner says that Idris was stabbed by a razor. The officer interrogates Ghezlan and she tells him that Asma is suffering from a psychological condition.
Ghezlan reveals to the investigator that Asma is mentally disturbed and unbalanced and that Idris took her to the mental hospital. Hoda's boyfriend locks her up until he knows the truth about Idris's death.
Murad is found dead in his office. The officer discovers that Hoda's boyfriend killed both Idris and Murad for revenge. Two years later, Asma and Sana co-found a psychiatric association in Idris's memory.
