With his career circling the drain, therapist Richard Pitt decides to revitalize himself by taking on online clients. But working from home proves to be far more complicated than he expected it to be.

Forced to take his alcoholic mother in, Richard struggles to find any modicum of support from his siblings. Richard is uncomfortable playing therapist to Neil, the loan shark to whom Richard owes money.

As his mother arrives, Richard finds himself torn between his mother and his wife. In addition to the troubles at home, the onslaught of problems from his patients leaves Richard desperate for a reprieve.

Maggie's presence sends Richard spiraling to the point where his own therapist is unable to help. An accident Richard has leads to severe reprecussions for one of his clients.

Left alone, Richard struggles not to crumble under the pressure of too many responsibilities, especially as the threat of Neil leads him to take drastic measures to feel safe in his own home.

When Maggie goes missing, Richard is further destablized when various clients show up on his doorsteps, leading to further complications.
