Hamdi belongs to the wealthy family of Alwan, for whom Issa has been working for years. Hamdi falls in love with Issa's daughter, Farida, when he sees her at his birthday party.

Alwan discovers that Hamdi is still in his first year, not his third, at the university and that he was also threatened with final dismissal due to his frequent flunking. When Hamdi learns of his father's discovery of the matter, he falls ill, and Farida and her neighbor Habiba visit him at his home.

Farida persuades her father that she complete her studies in order to enter the university. Alwan marries Lawahez, the widow of his friend Mahran, in secret.

Kamel El Miniawy betrays Alwan and wins the auction he was eagerly awaiting. Hamdi has an accident while riding a motorcycle.

Azzouz blows the gaff on the secret marriage of Alwan and Lawahez to Ayousha. Alwan and Lawahez travel to Faiyum for their honeymoon.

Issa persuades his son Khalil to study with Hamdi at his house, and a big quarrel breaks out between them because Hamdi spies on the neighbors and Khalil refuses the matter.

Azzouz opens his own butcher shop. The fedayeen (self-sacrificers) succeed in detonating an ammunition store without any loss of life. Ali is shot in the shoulder while participating in the demonstration against the British.

Lawahez surprises Alwan that she's pregnant. Azzouz gets engaged to Jamalat, Ayousha's sister. Farida obtains the Tawjihi certificate, and Khalil and Hussein obtain a Bachelor of Laws, while Hamdi fails at the university for the third year in a row and falls unconscious as a result of the shock.

Alwan buys a villa for Lawahez in the El-Qobba Bridge area. Hamdi asks his mother that he propose to his neighbor Suha. Kamel El Miniawy implicates Alwan in an operation aimed at smuggling iron stolen from the British camp.

Issa is released and Alwan is arrested. Karima discovers that Alwan is married to Lawahez. Farida confesses to Wedad her love for Hamdi. Khalil asks Issa that he propose to Nima, the daughter of Dr. Barakat.

The Cairo fire breaks out. Khalil and Nima get married, after which Khalil and Ali travel to Asyut and are hired at the same company. Hussein begins training in the lawyer Buthaina's office. Alwan is still imprisoned pending investigation.

Fathi works as a lawyer in Kazem Pasha's company, and Fathi's mother dies. Hamdi discovers that Fathi has deceived him. Saeed leaves his mother's house because he has been unable to find a job for a long time.

Alwan goes bankrupt, and debts pile up on Karima. The relations between Fathi and Kazem Pasha’s family are strengthened, and Suha gets close to Fathi, who visits Dr. Barakat to learn the news of the revolution.

Issa visits Lawahez and asks her to sell the villa at Alwan's request. Hamdi starts getting addicted to drugs. Faraj asks for Farida's hand in marriage, but she refuses.

Kazem offers Fathi that he marry his daughter and preserve his property while he is traveling abroad. Hamdi is arrested on charges of possessing drugs. Saeed divorces Wedad, and Khalil returns from Asyut.

Hamdi is released, and Issa starts looking for a buyer to mortgage Alwan's villa. Fathi confesses his love for Suha, who agrees that he ask her father for her hand in marriage.

The wedding of Fathi and Suha takes place. Hamdi fails the test that Shalaby put for him in order to work with him in the drug trade, after which he is severely beaten by Shalaby's men for betraying him.

Alwan agrees to give Karima a general power of attorney over the rest of his property. Lawahez decides to open a clothing factory, and Issa opens a small shop. Khalil and Nima's wedding is celebrated, and Issa proposes to Habiba, and she agrees.

Hussein’s wife dies during giving birth. Barakat marries Buthaina, and Issa marries Habiba. Farida gives birth to Ali's baby boy. A quarrel occurs between Lawahez and Alwan, and she asks for a divorce.

Nima gives birth to Shrooq, Khalil's daughter. Hamdi starts working in Issa's shop. Lawahez asks Karima for her share in the inheritance, and a quarrel breaks out between them, which leads to Karima's death.

Hamdi is forced to abandon the villa and live with Issa to be able to pay off his debts, after which Hamdi succeeds in paying off his debts and restoring the villa. Hamdi and Farida get married, and he surprises her that she is not his first love and that he is preparing to take revenge on Fathi.
