Wasila quarrels with one of the salesmen at the market after he calls her names. As she returns home, she teaches the girls to dance as Farah joins her as a dancer. A young man is imprisoned and tortured.

Brenga is arrested after a guy reports him for beating him up. Maher befriends Al-Sadek, who is sentenced to life in prison. When Brenga is released, he and Wasila perform at a wedding.

As Maher tells his story to Al-Sadek, he defends the latter when a prisoner tries to stab him. The prisoners learn popular songs. Al-Sadek tells Maher about his wife, Safiya, who betrayed him and married his friend.

Al-Sadek falls ill. Salma discovers that her husband is using drugs and confronts him. Maher is released from prison and returns to his job.

Wagdy fights with his stepmother and leaves the house for Maher's place. Al-Sadek dies and leaves his belongings to Maher. The doctor's friend overdoses and he tries to get rid of the body.

When Maher sings, Papa Al-Hady likes his voice. Wagdy tells Maher that Al-Hady is the friend who betrayed Al-Sadek. When Maher starts to fall for Habiba, Wagdy warns him off because she is Bernga's fiancée.

Lotfi Bouchnak meets Maher at Al-Hady's house. Wasila admires Habiba when she sees her dancing. Wasila tells Habiba about how her husband beat her till she lost an eye and how she poisoned him. The prisoner who tried to stab Al-Sadek is released from prison.

The drug dealer asks the doctor to give him pills in exchange for covering up for the murder he committed. When Maher's mother is robbed, Maher enlists the help of Al-Hady. The robber tries to beat Maher but he knocks him off the roof.

As the robber slips into a coma, no one finds out that Maher is the one who knocked him out. Al-Hady invites Maher to lunch which makes Brenga jealous because Habiba is the one who prepared the meal. Maher visits Al-Sadek's grave and meets Safiya.

Habiba quarrels with Farah who threatens to tell Brenga about Habiba's relationship with Maher. The police look into Wadi' and Maher. The doctor steals pills to prevent the gang from raping his daughter.

Maher quarrels with his mother after he decides to become a popular singer. Wadi' proposes to Farah. Safiya visits Al-Hady. An officer asks the doctor to help him catch the gang.

Maher starts distributing drugs in nightclubs. An apothecary proposes to Wasila. Habiba meets her mother without knowing who she is.

Maher becomes the drug dealer's right-hand man. The gang threatens the officer's mother to get him to back off. Maher continues to distribute drugs and sing at weddings.

Brenga vows revenge on Maher. Habiba wishes that Maher would quit dealing drugs and propose to her. Maher discovers that Farah is spying on them for the police officer.

Maher asks to marry Habiba. When Tawfik proposes to Maher's mother, he discovers that the police officer is Tawfik's son-in-law. Brenga fights with Habiba.

When Maher decides to marry Habiba, her father, Al-Hady, asks Genosh to make Maher stop dealing drugs. Maher's mother asks him to stop singing. Maher defeats Brenga.

Genosh lets Maher go. Maher's mother asks the officer to protect her son from Brenga. Farah discovers the letter that Al-Sadek left for Maher. When she confronts Maher, he tells her to keep quiet. Habiba tries to poison Farah after she sees her talking to Maher.

Brenga locks Habiba up and reports Wadi' to the police. Maher dreams of Al-Sadek. Maher saves the guy whom he knocked off the roof from attempted murder.

Habiba tells Wasila that Brenga raped her and threatened to kill her. The doctor tries to spy on Genosh and discovers that Farah is an informant for the police. Habiba's father rehearses for the party.

Maher informs Habiba that Al-Sadek is her real father and takes her to her mother. The gang is arrested. Wadi' learns that Farah is a cop. Maher is stabbed at the party and dies.
