After a long absence, Amer returns to Baghdad and recalls his quarrels with Balquis right before he left for Baghdad.

After Anas breaks his mother Magda's heart, he gets a transfer to a police department close to her house to uncover the truth about his mother.

In his photographic journey around Baghdad, Amer sees Magda's house where he and his family used to live. The people of the neighborhood refuse to let him take pictures of certain areas.

Amer is arrested for the pictures he took in Baghdad. Officer Anas doesn't go easy on him when he sees pictures of his mother's house.

Amer is released. As Anas searches for a criminal, he decides to look for him in his mother's building just to annoy her and the other tenants, but he doesn't find whom he's looking for.

Magda hides Ra'ad in her house and fetches the medic, Hoby, to tend to him. Meanwhile, Amgad and Anas's clashes with their parents resume, especially after Naheda insults Anas, and Ibrahim gets upset.

Ra'ad's condition worsens over time. As Anas heads a patrol to search a region, he commits a grave mistake when he shoots a doll, mistaking it for Magda. His supervisors at the police station learn of the incident and discover his illness.

Hoby ceaselessly pursues Magda who rejects him. Ra'ad's condition gradually improves. Colonel Abdel Latif detains Anas following the costly mistake he made during the recent raid.

Ra'ad recuperates completely and describes to Magda and Riad how he got stabbed. Magda goes to fetch Ra'ad's sick sister. Assem heads to Magda's house to ask for her hand in marriage.

Fayek and his sister bring Nazik home. Magda rejects the idea of her marriage altogether, despite everyone's insistence.

Due to their different lifestyles, Assem and Hoby quarrel and Amer leaves the house to stay at a hotel. As Amgad returns home drunk, his enraged father berates him.

Magda persistently rejects Assem's marriage proposal. Nadim is able to find Magda when he sees her with Riad at a cafe.

Riad insults Magda for refusing to marry Assem. Assem learns about Magda's past and the reason she got divorced.

When Shehab accuses Magda of being unchaste, Riad gets insanely mad. Amer has a sudden change of heart and refuses to sell his house to Assem.

In the pouring rain, Hoby takes Nadim home and gives him clothes to change. Riad survives a massive explosion at the capital and returns home safely.

In order to make money, Magda proposes to rent the upper floor. Anas continues to suffer because of his mother's reputation.

A tenant comes and expresses that he likes the house. Shehab asks to meet Anas to discuss his mother Magda.

Shehab reveals to Anas secrets about Magda, as well as the false ideas Assem planted in Anas's head, prompting him to change into a totally different person.

Magda is overjoyed when Amer visits his family's old house. Anas survives a suicide attempt, but its aftermath leaves the family troubled and anxious.

Magda cleans the upper floor for any possible tenant to visit the place. Naheda apologizes to Anas for her strange behavior with him throughout the last period.

Nazik's brother, Ra'ad, dies when armed men attack him at his workplace. Amer is informed that his daughter has returned from America and arrived in Turkey after being diagnosed with cancer.

Amer is shocked to learn that Balquis has lied to him about her daughter's cancer diagnosis. An enraged Amer leaves Istanbul and returns to Baghdad to Magda. Taking Hoby's advice, Amer confesses his love for Magda.

As Shaker declares his refusal of Hoby's departure from the house, Hoby and Amer reconcile. Anas leaves his father's house for his friend's house.

Sa'ad grows anxious when he sees Ossama at home, and Magda is likewise worried and suspicious, which she expresses to Amer. Ibrahim hires men to catch Shehab Kalabga and teach him a lesson.

Assem orders Abu Qitada to stay at Magda's house to prepare for their major operation. As Anas tries to take Magda to their house, she persistently refuses.

Ghaleb and his gang meet with Fayek and Amgad to discuss their next mission. Ossama threatens to murder Sa'ad, but he takes his threats back after Magda has a talk with him. He eventually leaves the house.

Suspicions seep into Magda and Riad's minds when they see Mejid beating up his wife, Shouq, which encourages Assem to urgently perform the operation. Abu Raghad's mission is thwarted when the police raid the place.

Abu Ghaleb's and Abu Raghad's gangs are arrested. The injured Fayek is rushed to the hospital. Amgad turns himself in. Ibrahim visits his son, Anas, in an attempt to make it up to him.

Prompted by Riad's finding out about him, Abu Qitada flees and the bombing is thwarted. Amer returns to Turkey and reconciles with his wife, Balquis. Anas learns that his mother Magda is an honorable and courageous woman who tended to Nadim's wounds at the cost of her own marriage.
