During her visit to an archaeological site in Baghdad, Shams hears Amir singing by chance in the neighborhood. She is quickly drawn to him, and believes she has found the man of her dreams, only to discover that he is a ghost from the past.

Sajjad, the son of an Arab sheikh, is killed, and his father decides to respond by having Shams, the daughter of Sajjad’s killer’s family, become the wife of Sajjad’s brother, Sameer, despite Sameer’s refusal.

Shams and Amir end up sitting next to each other on the same flight and plane, and tension arises between them, turning quickly into admiration.

Shams's family decides to force her to marry her cousin, despite her love for Ahmed. She then runs away from home and attempts to commit suicide. Amir prevents her from committing suicide and convinces her otherwise, and they soon fall in love.

The young writer, Amir, tries to attract the attention of Shams, whom he admires and sees every day on his way, but he often hesitates to take any step toward her.

Amir works in a clothing store, and a misunderstanding occurs between him and Shams's mother. Shams quickly falls in love with him when she visits the store again.

Amir and Shams decide to celebrate their wedding anniversary. He tells her that he is traveling for work, but she sees him in a restaurant with another woman.

Amir and Shams turn to a sheikh to adjudicate between them after they agree to divorce. The problem remains over who will have custody of their daughter.

A genie appears to Amir while he is on a boat at sea, and asks him to take her to the land.

Shams works as a manager of a large company, and remembers her love story with Amir, whom she let go of very easily due to her efforts and ambitions.

Journalist Shams tries to conduct a press interview with businessman Amir, but he refuses, so Shams tries to find out why.

The artist Shams tries to set up a date to meet a prominent political official, Amir, and they agree to cooperate on a project for orphans, and they like each other.

Shams is harassed and assaulted, and Amir confronts the harassers. Shams decides to thank him for saving her, but instead implicates him.

Amir flees the pursuit of a number of villagers due to blood feuds and takes refuge in Shams's father's house, who refuses to hand him over to them, no matter the cost.

Amir, an officer in the Iraqi army, goes on a mission against terrorists, leaving behind his wife, Shams, and children.
